Copper price today is $2.90 /lb at LME , a drop of 0.067

This would be a drop of 4% - 6% in KAZ SP ( down to around 600)

Lets wait and see if it happens, it would be a good entry point IMHO

Looking at Kaz daily chart, the 200MA is at 620, and the 50MA is at 600

So, if the SP goes down, then it could bounce of the 200MA or go down more and bounce of the 50MA (more chance of doing this).

680 seems to be an " Armoured" barrier !!

The SP hit it 5 times in the last 7 days (and this morning), but it keeps bouncing down every time !!

Is this a sign of consolidation, or the beginning of a retrace ??

I fully agree with you, but if you look at the history of Copper price, say the weekly chart, which cover the last 10 years, then you will see the huge variations in price over the years.
Yes, in general it will always be going up because of the supply-demand , but there will always be tops and bottoms.

This is what creates opportunities for making good profits .

For example, look at the price today, it raced to over 2% this morning , then dropped to just 0.3%

it is just the nature of the beast, and that is what makes it interesting.

I am in cash at the moment, and waiting for a good entry point, because I also IMO believe that it is a great investment.

Yes, I agree , putting chart to fundamentals , there are few things going in favour of higher copper price, and the market in general.
So , we could see a substantial rise in 2019.
Saying that , I will be looking to get in when wave 2 arrives.

IMO, I think it is standing at a cross road at the moment

It can go up to $3.3/lb or down to $2.3/lb , dificult to tell at this point of time.

My sell order for 675 got filled.

Happy with the profit , now I can sleep tonight without worry about what might happens tomorrow !

Rastuss : Yes, I am mainly bull on Copper long term, but as we all know, it never go up in a straight line, and there will always be ups and downs, which is a great opportunities for swing trading.

Talking about swing trading, I have just put a Sell order on my current Tranche !
It might sound mad, but I have done almost 15% profit on this Tranche, so time to sell it and not to be greedy.

I will now set on the side line and wait for another good entry point.
