Russia is now supplying more fossil fuels to the globe avoiding sanction and is earning more from its exports than it did before the invasion.

The west will only send DEFENSIVE weapons to UKR and so there is a disadvantage alraedy for the defender.

Th west is suffering high inflation and heading for its worst recession in yearsIt cant afford to keep supplying arms forever. UKR is Bankcrupt with inflation at 60%
Fact
The west will not put boots on the ground as this will only make the situation worse.

I have never denied VP is a bully and that Russia has a god given right to invade UKR and destroy it.
My argument is If you cant "shift " the aggressor what do you do???????. I.n the end there WILL have to be negotiations
Do you continue the carnage and the killing by ignoring diplomacy and trying all politcal means to stop it???

Spot on,This is exactly the situation. Unless the west realise that this is spiraling into an even bigger mess and they need to stop the war by putting diplomacy at the core of the problem than more weapons I can't see a way out.
The sad fact is whilst some are sitting in their Ivory towers pondering their next move the poor masses and those who are not able to escape the horrors of the war are dying and the destruction costing 20x more than the arms needed to cause it

0.5 basis points will simply not turn the tide. Markets are fearful of a recession, so stock investors are watching the bond market, which is sending fresh signals that the economy could be weakening.The general trend is for more hikes in thee coming months. This is why I feel the doenward trajectory will stay for a while.
The fed has also got to bear in mind that too many hikes could control some inflation but it could send the economy in a recession.

US markets tumble on the first day of trading of the week. The DOW slumps 700 points and there is a possibilty that interest rates could be hiked up 1% by the fed.What this is going to do the markets worldwide remains to be seen.
We are in for a few shocks as the markets move south. Also be interesting to see if this effects POLY and other similar

Just join the ride when you a see a level that you are comfortable with. This is not anymore as "scary" as some other stocks on the market . The difference is the true value in this one is masked by the geo-political situation.

There will be more opportunities to fill your boots as this has a fair way to go before it hits the bottom.
Every stock bar a handful are down today and this trend will continue . We cetainly are not at the bottom.

I'd wait a bit longer Ginger this could be heading south even more. It is following the trend of the markets despite the fact it is already undervaued

With all the selling going on in the stock markes worldwide it is logical to see the POLY SP also going south in relative terms.Lets hope this stock survives the recessionnary pressure effecting many mining companies now
The PI's will have an abundance of choice to invest their hard earnd cash in and any signs towards a peace negotiation could make all the difference

Thats ok if you are a long term holder. But what happens if you wanna off load all your holdings and sanctions on Int. payments is not lifted soon enough??? You are up a gum tree aren't you.??

The II's and the big investors have a vested interest in making sure this company is not sold on the cheap.
Besides POG could be talking to chinese and Indian syndicates to see if they are interested in a takeover.
Thats all I can say but I should think an RNS is likely soon.

Yes i agree POG is a lottery but I have sold 60% of my holding and invested here.
I have taken the risk in that if there is a takeover I may at least double up as the assets alone are worth 3-4p.
But I am not holding my breath.
The war will end and my take on this is that Putin will not stop at the Donbass If we can see more arms shipment pouring into ukraine.

Again it depends on your timing and some here on the BB have been invested long before the war unlike you and me.
My average is £2.04 here and 1.32 in POG.POG can't pay its debts so admin or takeover is on the cards.Shareholders particularly PI's could be wiped out.
I am not in a hurry but am not adding more.
As far as keeping the russian listing on London after the split I don't know mate thats the honest answer.

Yes I would agree and say Kaz assets are worth £5-6 and Russ is a bonus,

The War will end but not soon and the sanctions will be removed EVENTUALLY but sadly (and I am one who doesnt like the split)it will be too late for the company to stay as one unit. The simple fact is that POLY are in a unique position to be able to continue the business of gold production without interference from geopolitical factors.
The BOD could see this as the best solution under the circumstances.

Its a tiny minority causing this sort of action. Its not fair on the rest who are posting a balanced view.
Stick to poly and stop the rhetoric and it should be fine.
