when poly announces its 2nd quarter production results in the third week of July Hopefully we will be able to see the wood from the trees.Its half year results will also be announced in September.That will be the right time to judge whether the company is out of the tunnel and there is light at the end. Before this happens we can talk as much as we like about how well the company is run and how much production is on the cards.
It means very little in terms of getting the SP back on track.

Nobody is an expert here and neither am I.
The reason I feel that this could escalate is because we were told four or five months ago Russia would be totally outclassed in UKR and would be wthdrawing not only fom the south and east but also from crimea.
Exactly the opposite has hppened.
On the economic front we were told their economy would crumble. Again exactly the opposite has happened.
I am not a fan of Russia and I find it very upsetting and annoying what they have done in UKR .
But you have to take the facts into account. Just look at the facts

You seem to have forgotten why UKR was invaded in the first place.
The Russians made it absolutely clear they didnt want nukes on their doorstep.
That as one of the most principal reasons Moving them on the border with Finland/Sweden doesnt improve the situation.

One of Putin's closest allies, former President Dmitry Medvedev, said last month that Russia could deploy nuclear weapons and hypersonic missiles in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad if Finland and Sweden joined NATO.
This is yet another sign that VP is not giving in to threats fom NATO or anyone else. In other words he want stop at UKR.
What a sobering thought. This could be more serious.

A lot of tree shaking this morning.

POLY has announced its silver inventory has continued to accumulate, as a result of a lack of reliable export channels and a near non-existent domestic market.
It also confirms it has started discussions with several potential commercial and industrial international buyers, but noted that silver accounted for less than 5% of its expected sales in 2022.
This has no effect on its production targets and these are uninterrupted. Given the current geo-political climate and the effects of Covid in Asia which has effected demand for almost a year the SP is holding very well.

Thanks for your post . I have already had a few replies/views on this matter and can definitely say the replies they have had wouldn't be any different to the one that investor relations at POLY would give me.
What I find interesting (from what I know) ) is that no one who is holding shares on MOEX have commented on the possibility of a split and how its going to effect them as sanctions apply both ways.The BOD will also have to give a lot of consideration to that. I assume they will all or the majority will all be Russians.

What it's doing on the battlefield is what matters here
It is now evident that Russia has the upper hand
I am not a fan of Russia and I am sympathetic and always have been towards the plight of the UKR.
But commonsense and logic tells me that they've taken on a mammoth task

At the end of the day you should only bite what you can chew. There's no point in taking something on which is totally illogical and beyond.one's capabilities. which most definitely causes immense destruction and death on a massive scale.

At what cost to the people and the country as a whole i say. The country is in dire and dreadful situation with a begging bowl to the rest of the world. Is that what you call freedom?????
Had it not been for the regime running the country the would have prospered and in a much better state.
Its the same here. You get egoistic dictators who are weak telling the world we we will take on the strong come what may.
Inflation is running at 70% in UKR and the country is bankcrupt.

.You ar right to a point that the weaker party in this case UKR should tart negotiations but the problem here is that UKR alone doesn't have a say in this alone.If it had this war would have been short and swift.The difference is also that Zelensky's style of leadership is completely opposite to that of hiis predecessor. The other major tumbling block is that the Russians dont war Nuclear missiles on their doorstep in cae UKR joins the alliance.
Just thought I should add these two points.

I guess we just have to wait for the next updates from the BOD.

Lets assume that poly was split and i have 50000 shares currently. As I understand I would be eligible to receive 50000 shares for the russian assets and 50000 for the khazak assets.
Q1)Would i be right in thinking that the russian shares would only be listed on MOEX.
Q2) If i wanted to offload ALL my holdlings how would i proceed and do this if international payments to and from Russia are sanctioned.
