DSRT- I am short on Barclays mate. Always been very open about it, I am in the red as I opened at an average of 3.80 so not in panic mode just yet.

It’s not Barclays specific though, I think all banks will have a serious correction soon but as MR A rightly points out I am probably very early to the party!

I have mentioned I have family in America with deep knowledge in the automotive industry, and also real estate. Both are showing huge signs of slowing down in my opinion.

Throw in the mix of the regional bank defaults in the U.S. recently I really think it’s all a lot worse than we would like to know.

It’s scary how easy it is to pull equity out of your home in the U.S. and go and buy a boat with the money. The place is one big leveraged debt bubble!

Some of you guys on here are for more intelligent than I am so I do look for others opinions to make sure I’m not just a crack pot. Lol.

I am a stonemason by trade so my knowledge of markets is way off many of you.

Fromage, appreciate the reply and I get your point. But how can a company value go up that’s buisness model is based on redistribution of a failing asset that can be made up at any given time?

Also, if the public truly understood the system and how false it is then surely they would want their money out of the banks? And if that was the case the banks could only come up with 10% of that money because the rest doesn’t even exist. For every pound they get they lend out 9 more elsewhere? I get that it’s a very profitable and almost attractive business model because technically it can’t fail,but something makes me beleive it is going to.

I see trump is on about pushing 50 year mortgages now, more stimulant to a static housing market which means more customers for the banks to lend that made up money to…

Hi DSRT, but in good shape in which way? Good shape as in keep the money printers going and everyone debted up to their eyeballs with eye watering debt and now 100% mortgages with help to buy schemes?

U.S. slowing down with a labour market shortage and an even worse debt per capita problem than here.

When you say in good shape I think it looks like in good shape until you address the foundations of what it’s built on.

Someone has to take the hit on all that free money they created during Covid and gave to the banks to make a killing off. It came out of fresh air and the banks have had the time of their lives on it lending it out multiple times over what they actually have, all while charging interest rates on money the can’t physically back up. 😂 And now the devaluation of the currency and inflation is catching up, Its inflated the balloon a bit bigger before the big pop.

I’m not sure if I’m insane or very sane but everyone else seems to think this creation of money is a healthy economic system and I don’t?

Talk of a windfall tax Barcs drops a few percent and recovers it within a day anyway, windfall tax avoided= Barcs will go up 5-10% for something that was never implemented anyway. 😂

Just for the record, I have a large short on Barclays to which I have explained why, and no one has been able to prove my points incorrect or really been able to build a solid bull case from these levels imo.

But just for the record I certainly am not messaging MR A,as like everyone else here I really value his opinions, balanced views, and respect to everyone on this bb regardless of their positions.

It always fascinates me hearing people’s problems and what has worked for them in treating their symptoms.

We are all different so a lot of the time it’s not a case of one size fits all However p140 looks like it might have cracked it right at the root causeon a cellular level and much better for the body without any unwanted toxins for the liver to deal with daily. Barcs just shrugs off anything negative from the markets, it’s almost to the point of being delusional to the real world now.

Nothing warrants this kind of strength. QE is not growth, and even with it the economy is still failing. Get reform in and this big bubble is going to pop like never before.

Lord, why on earth would they change strategy now? Sat on an abundance of risk free warrants to cash in on in the event of a deal, why would they start changing their investment strategy now for the final percentages? I find your point of view hard to get my head around? These company’s have regimental strategies to follow, they don’t make it up as they go along?

£50m mcap for a potentially global cure for over 50 autoimmune diseases? Throw in a diognostic platform Aswell. Total market worth hundreds of billions, and £50m mcap is over valued is it,OTM?

It’s strange because posters have referenced countless Billion dollar deals for lesser treatments with less data, but here we are over valued at £50m according to you. LOL
