I too hope you get your investment back, I am curious though, after 20 years of holding why the two same posts within a couple of weeks of each other?

Forgive my skepticism, but as you can see on this BB we get plagued with people trying to reduce the share price for their own benefit so it gets my old cogs turning!

And Barcs just keeps climbing! Looks like £5 will be hit soon aswell. Charts and everything just look crazy, personally I am much happier to be short here than long.

I just feel for all those less confident that will have sold up on Roger’s and OTM lies… now they didn’t get that drop they were hoping for they’ve slid back in….. all very sly stuff.

£1.3B definitely sounds more like it at current prices.

Every $5 rise in oil would add around $150m in fcf with the extra production so $80 oil woukd be needed to get up to the $2B fcf mark?

I’m not sure if this is right but I look at it as production doubles in 2028 so if you said total cost was $4.2B (including capex to get to 60kboepd)

$48 x 60kper day $2,8 m. X 300 days =864m per year pre tax

the $1.2B capex will give around £250m in tax relief, so all in all stands us at about $4B bought and paid for, capex the lot.

After tax the fields return $650m a year at 60k boepd so I have it as it takes 6.5 years to pay for the full LLOG deal including capex to spend? Am I talking waffle?

Is there any tax relief that can come with the purchase of llog to minimise that further? But in all honesty that doesn’t sound bad when written out like that.

I’m long harbour but I don’t buy that shell wanted these assets either. Well they might have, but clearly not at this price tag.

They look great assets, but they are expensive without a doubt in my mind.. 2028 should see HBR back to £4-5 a share and the markets are always looking ahead. Oil must be at its lows surely, so a 100% rise in 2 years on a large mcap company is a very attractive investment.

Give us some examples of this deal then,roger. We have all posted plenty of examples of the size of the deal we are expecting, now post examples like for like of the deal you expect.

And no other options I might add. Creditors were killing us. And we only got 5% of HBR.

I do agree LLOG looks too expensive right now, but I think 2028 onwards it will prove value for money with plenty of new prospects to go at. And cheap by the sounds of it, I heard buckskin came online for a 1/4 of the planned cost was it? And they only needed half of the originally planned wells? I think I heard that right… it sounds like a very easy basin to develop at low cost

PMO came with over $2B in debt,y11.

I bought 50k shares before the bell. Will be keeping a close eye on it for sure.

I just hope we haven’t paid a premium for LLOG assets because Linda’s American friends at LLOG holders. I have seen articles months ago about LLOG for sale sign at $3b and we ended up paying $3.2 with giving away 10% of HBR aswell.

Either way HBR should be a safe(ish) bet. But I have to agree with nitro, it’s not safe enough yet to attract any real investment

I got the vibe BOD were more than happy with current divi and thought it makes perfect sense to track fcf with it.

I sold yesterday at 204 and I’m tempted to jump back in. I do agree that 2028 onwards HBR is going to be a ridiculously profitable company even at current oil prices.

I just can’t get my head around the price tag for LLOG assets but that might be my own lack of understanding of the industry.

It’s not even about being right as such, it just does not add up and everyone is running around thinking everything is rosey again like pre 2008.

I live in Richmond (North Yorkshire) and to be honest we rarely ever feel recessions as hard as the rest of the UK, but even here the housing market as just completely stalled.

I think things are a lot worse than they like to admit because when this rolls back it’s going to get messy.

How many hundreds of thousands have had to remortgage to pay off their help to buy equity and are currently sat on absolutely no equity in the event of a roll back? Even worse, those who havnt paid those help to buys off… the whole thing is just a monumental bubble and they are desperate to keep pumping it up.
