It could have been a trade that helped them through the 3% barrier.
Likely been accumulating over days....

They can trade in many various ways to accumulate size:-
A) leave an order in the block MTF’s such as Posit, Turquoise or Liquidnet
B) leave a block order with a broker of choice like a UBS with a limit price - example buy up to 1m shares at a limit of 800p in tranches of 50,000 or greater
C) give a broker of choice a live order to buy in the central limit order book (CLOB) in this case SETS and/or Euronext again with a price limit and a volume limit (VWAP)

Blackrock have a number of sides to there business having acquired historically:-
- Merrill Lynch Asset Management a block trading active manager
- Barclays Global Investors a passive index tracking manager
And of course they were, as in Blackrock themselves, a significant US situated global asset manager.

A £15m investment is very small for these guys. More to come imo.

That is a small holding for Blackrock... they will buy more. They had to announce once they breached 3% but no need to announce further until through 4%.

Brandshield was independently valued just over £40m in the run up to the RTO.

Interesting project in a high growth financial sector.

Very surprised I could sell the amount I held with the MM's not just taking the shares all bar 50,000 at 5.2p... but not lowering the bid through 5.1p.
I will look at them once those numbers are delivered.

RNS shows that Intertrader fell from just over 3% of TSI (old) so around 1% of Brandshield (new)
That was there big print of yesterday
Sale of 1,250,000 shares at 20p...
Good they are out if they do not believe the Brandshield story.

Talked with HL - as I know someone in their settlements aea and he advised that data would come through this evening.
Just checked and all reflected correctly now.

Should be a positive update

If the company is not in their 'closed' period - the period either side of their revenue/profitability announcements then directors can buy and sell the company shares.
It would have to be proposed at a board meeting and be ratified, and the investor relations/compliance team would have to agree.
It a process but fairly straightforward.

I decided to sell my position over the course of this week having kept a token holding.
It took a few days but surprisingly the MM's were happy to take shares.
I wish you all the best as the opportunity I bought into still exists in abundance.
