I may be wrong but I read the exchange mechanism differently.
I read it as here was the way we (CLG) got to 920, but f the exchange rate or GXO share price drops then so does the offer total, as they quoted the 901 figure as an example? So a dropping GXO price is not good.
As I say perhaps I have got that wrong?

Thanks, I was chuckling most of yesterday afternoon.
I don't think there's any agenda really. Lots of volatility. I have tried to avoid trying to trade it, I was tempted to sell say 25% today just to see after having liquidated my CLG holding on news. I didn't though. Like Joe said really. Volumes are low, a few selling takes it down. My portfolio was a mixed bag today ...no pattern really %age wise. Not much going up though!
My only concern tonight is that i'm driving my guvnor around tomorrow and will be slow to react to news if there is any!

IMHO it will take a long while before this can achieve a hugely better price. I don't think the current price reflects the value of the business, but anything north of a quid is a long way off. Auditors will be pressuring information out of multi year jobs which is hard to gauge and will lead to conservative figures until they are sure. If a new type of work has been actually won since 2019 I would love to know its value and expected return...perhaps they will say one day. Time again I think.
A new CEO would be well received but I don't think its a silver bullet. Institutions aren't selling, so maybe a floor on the price around here.... They used to have the live share price on a screen in reception in Maidenhead...I bet they don't any more! Does anybody here think there is any likelihood of a faster rise than say 2-3 years here, and if so why would that be (takeover excluded obvs)? Just my musing and all imho of course..

Look at the last 2 times they did it to see the effect.
It will work through while those shares are sold back.
The positive for me is that the last time they did that I halved my holding and not this time!

You are asking this question out loud so to speak? No need, If you look at the chart and large drops from years back you will be able to see the relevant RNS that caused it. If you then read the RNS and look at the numbers you will see large lumps of writedowns.
They had to write down a huge amount of money relating to a business and this caused losses. All done now.
