Pike, if you haven't seen any positive comments on here in the last 3 years you must have me on filter... I am generally positive and have a large holding begun in Covid (after holding 2 times previously in the past and making money). Not a fan of the CEO and his LTIP but apart from that its solid. I'm in this sector and have big ears so I get out when advisable.
I cant add to unvrkw post other than to emphasis that the Tier 1 subbies are going to get hit by more inflation relatively and over there it will be problematic for some this year. I'm sorry you didn't get some huge rerate but it will work its way up. Hopefully you have bought a few cheap ones and you can exit in good time. Good luck.

Saga 3 month graph looks exactly the same as the FTSE 250 3 month graph. Exact %ages may be slightly different but those saying this is an individual Saga problem are wide of the mark I think. In the usual way of things the gains I have in one stock are consumed by this going down. Just need to make sure that I dont let happen when this goes back up. Fully intending to ride the wave this time as I missed it last Oct/Nov. Take care all.

I would have preferred the dividend back. He's being very cautious, but then things can flip very quickly in this game. HS2 money will be flowing over the next year so he's gonna have to pay it at some point. Be interesting to see how this goes now.

Very unlikely IMHO. My understanding is that key shareholders are against it, and in any event going by a couple in my portfolio who have had offers tabled recently they will be low ball in the current market.

Yep, and one of the conditions would have been due diligence. You use the initial offer number to open the books and then trash what you find to lower the offer.
Or at least that's my experience which ended up the deal of the century.
The shorts will be gone when the majority believe the debt is going to reduce , the divi will be restored etc etc. And then it will be 600 min. When that is though is the key huh?

At the risk of me being the usual HYVE bore wrt M/Cap, the figures you are using are the ones back-plotted on most platforms after the share issue/consolidation and they do not represent the actual ones pre-covid.
Market cap pre covid was 815m shares x circa £1.00= £815m. It was trading around the £1 mark just before COVID hit and it dropped to about 20p being 16p immediately prior to consolidation.
Shares in issue now 265m....

They make some good points. I doubled up. Hopefully it will have the desired effect and then they get themselves over to COST!
