I’m keen for this to do well, but that’s a terribly one-sided post! Absolutely nothing about risk involved so not a balanced view. In fact I take almost the polar opposite view which is that market makers have been tempting the The gullible into buying at a price alumni capital are happy to sell out. This may go on for some while but if good news does land maybe they won’t need to use any more of the CLNS for funding. It’s a risky play, but that could be really fabulous fabulous rewards here if they announce a contract worth a few million.

My feeling is the two directors had to lend money because the company was about to go bust. If they bought shares that would not put money directly into the company’s bank account and so wouldn’t help extent the state of execution. They may well be in a closed period but we’re guessing.

I’ve a feeling there’s some forested selling going on here by mms on behalf of Alumni Capital. Their sell price yesterday for the 48m shares was .232p and there are biggish sells popping up at exactly that price again this morning. Seems to me that’s the price they’re willing to dump at so this might struggle for a while and we’ll get more CLNs being converted and RNSs confirming that. TRLS share holders badly need news of a contract or one of the major pharmas putting their money where their mouth is!

I’d say things are looking up but we have to be reasonable here and realise being so close to going bust means Marla has to get money in the bank any way she can. That unfortunately means more CLNs are inevitable imo. Not what we want to see right now but if people can hold until that first contract drops well then hopefully see the back of Alumni Capital. They are currently helping Trls keep its head above water but it won’t be long until she is skimming the surface on a pair of water skis at high speed! Just hold for a few more weeks.

I am a tiny pi here in a massively risky play. I know that. Certain thing s are abundantly clear to me. One is that what is made out to be fairly obvious rarely represents the truth. By all means you go for it. My gut, which generally serves me well, will lead me on this one

That’s quite funny actually. You two should get your stories together. One says you can’t possibly know if funds have been raised privately, the other says we were told how much has been raised. I sold half my shares last week and will sell the rest if I can get out at 2p. MAC ceo is on a permanent holiday paid for by pis. So long suckers.

And just to be clear Dickson CEO of Weardale has not managed to raise a penny from private funding sources in the last 14months.

The applications for Grants from the US DOE close in July so another 3 months to get in an application and the another 3 months for a decision and then, if successful, funds actually arrive when? Some time in the autumn. Work starts early 2027? As I say, this is years off and that’s only IF Weardale can jump over all the hurdles of funding, safety risks, feasibility studies etc. think the Marechale Directors may have been led up a garden path by Dickson…. When you read this report their chances of success are at best very slim. This has just exposed actually what a high risk stock this is.

So Blackstone, can you please give us your reasoning behind Marla putting up $50k of her own money please? Has she risked losing that just so that Alumni can make more profit on their CLNs? Thanks in advance

Worth reading. Huge risks remain irrespective of whether Stewart Dickson can secure the required funding. £700k for feasibility studies is a tiny part of how much they need.

Best and most balanced article I’ve read on Weardale’s potential and its challenges.

This is years away from meaningful news and given the BODs’ lack of interest in keeping share holders updated I’d say we’re in for another year of silence other than the essential RNSs.

Er What do You think the Alumni CLN is? It’s the perfect vehicle for the company to raise funds and dilute ordinary share holders as much as possible. Also puts voting control in the hands of Alumni as a major share holder.

The one thing I can’t work out is why Marla needed to bother putting up $50k of her own dosh in. Bit of timing with the plan has gone awry it seems to me.

Having bought in themselves last October, you’d imagine the Directors might be a tiny bit more active and engaged with their own investment interests. Hey Ho. Back to sleep for another 12 months until Weardale get their act together and come up with a feasibility study.

What do the MAC directors do day after day to earn their salaries? They can’t even be bothered to put out an update ffs. They are taking their own RNS perhaps a little too literally..?

Time will tell. When you see companies like this which clearly have a decent product and engagement of major partners but the shares holder value has been driven relentlessly down - 99%! - you have to question either the intentions or competence of the Directors. Company called Genedrive was deliberately driven sown and taken to the brink by its Directors and then they made a play for one final massive dilution and via which they could themselves buy in hugely. The plan to rinse pis was going well until a share holder revolt lead by two large share holders put a stop to it all. Now it’s had a reset and the Directors are under proper scrutiny to act in the interests of ALL shares holders. I don’t think that’s what’s happened here but wtfdik. It feels more like Marla and her Co owner are not such great business people as they are scientists. Hopefully Marla can announce one decent contract and then abandon the Alumni funding which is currently killing any sentiment and pushing the company closer and closer to the point where they can take it for peanuts in a distressed sale. That might have been their plan all along and Marla just didn’t realise the situation she could get TRlS into. Such a shame after all the good news with J and J andMSA and other agreements signed with global CROs.
