Fort, you're entitled to your own approach, of course. For me, what has happened in the past can't be changed. All that matters is now and what happens next. You're in a golf tournament and hit out of bounds at a crucial moment whilst leading. A photographer had disturbed you. Do you focus on the next shot and winning the Tourney or have a hissy fit over the snapper? I see no evidence of acting in bad faith by our Board. I also do not expect (retrospective) perfection from any Board of Directors. I expect latter to act in good faith. I think our Board have done that.

Fort, I don't see why you are spending so much time criticising out Board and Directors. Even if (with the benefit of hindsight) some things were badly timed, that is not analogous with evidence of bad faith. It is so, so easy to 'guess' last week's lottery numbers, Fort. Much harder to guess this week's.

I see no evidence of 'stock being dumped' on the live feed. Can you explain what you are referring to please?

Fort, I simply don't understand why so much hostility towards NM and the company generally. Of course all things are easy with the benefit of hindsight. Armour turned bad for DGR and could have resulted in DGR folding. That was what shareholders were facing - small PIs and NM alike. I suggest care about attributing motive or illegality. Claims that individuals deliberately engineered events or acted unlawfully need evidence and otherwise stray into libel. On DGR, NM didn’t walk away and leave shareholders exposed, he stayed involved and stabilised the company. On SolGold, deliberate value suppression is an extremely serious allegation. Care needed, Fort.

Armour was clearly a poor investment in hindsight but it’s important to remember it was a DGR portfolio decision, made by a listed company with a board and advisers, not a personal punt by NM. When the investment deteriorated and began to threaten DGR itself, NM didn’t step away or leave shareholders high and dry. He stayed involved, recapitalised and helped stabilise the business. That’s responding to a difficult situation, not taking advantage of it.

Quite right, Damers. Highly talented people are involved with the strategy of what is going on here. We shall have to wait and see what happens next.

Fort, Concerning your 9:14 post, I have referred to holdings just under 1% not being reportable (so long as there is no concert party). As I have stated many times, I support the Board of Solgold and have no reason to doubt them. I think DV has done an excellent job. If I believe otherwise, I shall say so. Based on non-reportability, IIs can accumuate just under 30 million shares without the need to report.

Fort, I disagree with you. A new institutional investor can buy just under 1% and not report anything at all, even now. Under the Takeover Code, disclosure only starts at 1%. Below that, there is no Form 8.3, no TR-1 and no RNS. So the absence of disclosures does not mean no institutions are soaking up stock it only means no single buyer has crossed the line.

In a live offer situation, buying loudly makes no sense. Crossing 1% advertises your position, pushes the price against you and limits flexibility. The rational approach is quiet accumulation below the threshold.

Low volume alongside price stability doesn’t point to “nobody buying”. If there were genuinely no buyers, you’d see disorderly selling and sharper downside. We’re not seeing that.

True, rc, true. What more could DV have done for the SP? I went behind the sofa and bought as many as I could at those prices. As I've said many times, wish I could have bought more but that's life. Patience key now.

DV is far from retirement with lots of career ahead of him. Why would he on the one hand refer to a derisked 165 per share NAV and on the other be happy with a sell out at 28p which would amount to about £2.5m after tax to him give or take. That's not a huge sum and the whole picture wouldn't look good on his CV. Last Friday has created much noise for 'no cost' which was what it was meant to do I suppose. Material facts inbound let's hope. Spinning wheels agenda these last few days and a bit of a distraction. Who has been buying the sells I wonder?

Fort, we can agree to disagree of course. I looked at the register earlier this week and what I said is correct I.e. less PIs more IIs and latter adding over period 10 Nov to earlier this week. And yes, I do think DV and team are doing an excellent job. If I have reason not to believe that then of course I will review my opinion as and when facts change. DV quickly gathered momentum under his leadership. Last Friday's non binding events have to be handled extremely carefully nevertheless. I believe DV and team are doing just that.

Non-binding commitments are akin to being 'a little bit pregnant'! The latest register shows less PIs and more IIs compared to 6 weeks ago with IIs adding. Last Friday was just posturing. Nothing firm at all there. All to play for here now.
