Evening RM.
Yes, in times when UK made things rather than import and manipulate them, we exploited our natural resources, though not in environmentally friendly ways and so many exchanges could be supported. The failure for many decades to to develop our natural resources and industry in environmentally friendly ways with regard to strategic security, leaves us at the mercy of global scam-forces, eco-warrior illogicality and corrupt politicians to damage our prosperity. The world is what it is and we shall close coal mining not to reduce global warming, but to import it from Australia at cost to home employment. Rare projects such as Scotgold's Cononish and Anglo-American's Woodsmith mines will buck the trend after great tribulations. Will more follow? A big ask in times of monetary risk adversity perhaps. Now i can don my Chinese-made mask.
No, at last the N.Ireland, English and Welsh governments have capitulated in the face of the anguish of school children on school assessments. A victory for people over algorithms! Pity they didn't have the balls of Scotland's wee Krankie over a week ago! One of my grandsons has his A-level grades restored. Good news, he has his university place. Bad news, not now until January intake. Does the education minister think that at a stroke of his pen, he can atone for his sins by removing the cap on university numbers and universities can instantly magic up extra facilities, tutors and accommodation?
Are we all not lions led by donkeys? Now I will put on that foreign mask! Do I hear cheers? LoL!
Regards to all here, R.
