Yes, so many bad, omens gathering last year leading to markets, money and government risk-adversity These have led to a number of failures including Sirius and 2020 is getting worse with a pandemic, potential global slump, overhang of Brexit, unchecked wars, rampant corruption and this morning the revelations by Sir Philip Rutnam of government by mayhem. I have always envisaged since the 2008 crunch, that there may be a time to be out of shares and regrettably IMO this is it! Hence I have gone a step further than Rosewall and this week sold my remaining holdings while my gains were still ahead of my losses. I've had a good 10 years of share investment with modest profits on a very small pot, but as I have always known, you can't win them all.
I retain only my small investment of faith in Scotgold as the only one worth keeping and will keep an eye on this BB, perhaps adding on occasions that I feel I have something worthwhile to say.............which might be a bit less often! LoL! So for now:

Another 10 years waiting for ERIS? You are a true stalwart! I hope that you have that long and more, but I'll stick to occasionally trading SGZ, as I feel the Grampian Project has more information, potential and certainty to offer. Come summer, SG should also have a track record to show off too! It has been attractive to a Londoner now long since in God's own county!
Could it be that we shall be delighted by another 10 years of new tales from the canal-side and 10 yen fund a branch of South Worcestershire to Glen Almond??? The future is bright of spirit!

RF, you must be one of the very few old posters left. Almost all have departed or passed away. I've been in and out of here for 10 years and worked indirectly for Sirius in the exploration drilling days. I felt that the then team were very personally and financially committed and though the buck stops with the BoD and CEO, I suspect that it is the greed of the 'money men' that have dragged them and us all down. I've taken some profits by trading and only my 'free' shares were left and sold, so I can't complain. Feel very sorry for those who put a lot or all of there investment in here, but from the start I decided not to put all my eggs in one basket.
It is still a great project on my doorstep and I hope that AA will will bring it to production for the sake of the local economy and UKplc. They did it for Boulby when ICI and Charter ran out of steam in the 1970s and will hopefully do it again. I doubt that there is any other option. Over and out.

Thank you for your excellent posts reminding us all why we are still here.
I would add that beyond the Cononish mine, the Grampian project has the potential to unlock added, nearby mining projects in the future. I'll be opening my bottle of Tyndrum Gold when the first production gold is poured!

As Yayay has said, it's a long road to getting a mine going and I've experienced a few. Always 2 steps forward and one back, but here we are at last after so many years, long waits and false dawns, building the mine and approaching production by summer. When the Bulk Production Trial started in 2016, the SP reached the equivalent of £1, but in the absence of news, SPs always drift down. So here's hoping for more news of progress soon!

W2W sunshine on the NE coast so far this morning. Not good outside for building work with snow on the ground in Tyndrum traffic camera. Pic 3 of yesterday's SG tweet is off-vein into altered, layered sandstone/shale, for development and rock for surface works, but hopefully we'll see pics of on-vein mining soon.

I saw that too and the band of unhappy PIs who have formed into an association to resist the AA offer, but neither they nor Jupiter appear to have a credible alternative idea for funding. Deja Vu..........AA stepped up to the plate for Boulby in the 1870s when ICI and Charter ran out of steam and made a goer of it before selling to ICL. Hopefully they will do the same for Woodsmith for the sake of the local economy and UKplc, though that's little consolation to investors sacrificed to save the project.
Apologies to SGZ posters for talking about SXX, but their BB is too cluttered. The pros and cons of SGZ being owned
about 85% by the BoD and sticky fingers have been discussed here, but IMO it seems to add stability from commitment.
