Agree Kraken. Tullow can ride out the storm for a while yet and dosn`t have to sell assets in the panic due to hedging. The oil price war will come to an end a lot sooner than SA & Russia think they can hold out for without admitting defeat through a mutual agreement. No benefit to both of them and both are seeing the devastation already. Can see an OPEC meeting very soon to get the oil price back up above $45 minimum. Tullow will have to reduce CAPEX though and an asset sale will be required to reduce debt.

It`s alright flooding the World market with cheap oil which will be snapped up by refineries. The problem is that there is not enough storage tanks and that tankers will have to be used which push the price up the longer they are used. More storage tanks can be built in a few months but it`s a gamble if the price of oil rises again. Neither Russia or SA will benefit financially and their Countries debt will increase causing more misery and uprest. The only solution is to go back to the table and set a realistic price for oil and cant see the current situation lasting for more than six months when reality hits both. Hedging has saved Tullow and there is some breathing space before harsh decision need to be made.

Looking at the long term chart, the last rise to 0.3 level was buyers getting in on a large gas field discovery. This was before the later news of a possible viable oil field. Is that correct ? Obviously the profit taking and the fund raising has collapsed the price and now the oil price war and virus panic. Looks very oversold to me based just on the gas field find and Wressel. Been topping up near 0.1 and this one is my saviour share to get my battered pension fund back to where it was from just a month ago.

Tindrum: You are fortunate in that you still have some financial back up and have been sucked in like thousands of others. I am also fortunate that i got out of NMC & FIN with a small loss now the truth has emerges. I have quite a lot in premium bonds and have never won much but glad i didn`t cash them in to trade now. Tindrum: That the hardest part to tell a partner and takes some courage. I lost £22k in a share once and was going to pay off the mortgage. Greed beat me and i went for the big one and lost it all. Never told my Wife but it isn`t forgotten after nearly 12 Years ago. My sympathy to all who lost in this one as i had a near miss myself but got out a few days before suspension feeling that i has lost out when the S.P. rose on last days trading. Feeling sick for you all and hope you can come to terms with this over time.

That is factoring in the hedges oil prices and not at Todays prices which would bring it well down below £1.50.

Just looking at the last 2019 financial report which has assets of $10.8b v liabilities of $8b giving a remaining net asset value of $2.8b. Divided by shares in issue give a price per share of $2. or around £1.50. I know that this has changed since the 2019 report but looks to be valued at least a £ 1 per share factoring in abandoned wells. Any take on this you accountants.

Yes, sentiment will bring it down Tomorrow as it will for the majority of shares. Can see it rising back though as shares are snapped up at such a low valuation. If in cash, start accumulating on this opportunity that dosn`t come along that often.
