I've checked the patent index which measures the strength of a patent logged in the US if it's challenged through the PTAB and the Autostore robot and components score a 'C' on the APIX, a 'D' on the BRIX, a 'D' on the CITX which means in layman's terms that's its very unlikely to survive being challenged on such low ratings, the 'D' is the lowest rating. Only problem is that the ITC will be making the decisions during the trial which makes me think that Ocado was right to try to challenge the patent through the PTAB. If they had acted sooner they might have got this through but we will have to wait and see now.

From what I can see and if I've read it correctly the patent infringement revolves around the 5 patents involving the Robot for Transporting Storage Bins and components owned by Autostore Technology AS. Autostore has complained to the US International Trade Commission who have started an investigation ( filed Oct 2020) under section 337 with regards to the importing of Ocado's tech (for Kroger, Cincannati ) into the US which infringes their patents. Ocado have petitioned the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in the US to delay proceedings I believe, but they have stated that whilst the ITC is investigating (and at an advanced stage) the patent infringement, then they will await that decision and have set this petition aside rather than having two cases running concurrently looking at the same evidence which would be a waste of time. The ITC case in the US will start on the 2nd August 2021 for 5 days. Autostores expert witness has been deposed on 19th March 2021 although I don't know why? ITC have said there will be no delays (despite pandemic) and are looking at a speedy trial despite arguments from Ocado over the intellectual property rights which are not clearly defined. Initial determination due on 5/11/21 by the ITC subject to review, final determination is on 7/3/22. Ocado are arguing that the PTAB should make the decision on the patents and not the ITC. Autostore are asking the PTAB to exercise its discretion on this matter and basically sit this one out which it appears they agree with.

Always remember the old saying, "sales are vanity" everything comes at a cost. When the SP is high enough they will get yet another placing away and further dilute your investment, its the one thing they are good at unfortunately.

4kandles is right to highlight the red flags here, MDZ has a terrible record. There is no long term shareholder value here, there never has been. Well done if you make money on the rises in the SP.

I've been looking at the shorts and they're down considerably, over 79% from their high point. Black Rock and Pelham appear to think there's something there but they are the only declared funds to do so and Black Rock increased their short in February for some strange reason?

Hmmmm, AZN not for profit against Pfizer making $$$'s, what if AZN was removed from the equation say ? The obvious answer is Pfizer would me raking in billions more in profit, AZN are diluting their profits in a big way. All you hear about is the continual negativity around the Oxford AZN jab and virtually nothing against Pfizer or the Moderna vaccine which also have similar blood clotting problems although you very rarely hear about this? The perpetual bad news feed virtually every day now makes me wonder if something else is going on and is being orchestrated is some way, Macron and Merkel for instance are totally negative on the vaccine despite its success rate. Only 30 cases of blood clotting have been recorded following 18 million injections which is miniscule! Is this a Brexit thing, can't they stand the UK success rate or is it something else ?

Unfortunately I can recall Softbank buying UK chip manufacturer Arms Holdings as their chips would be in everything (internet of things). A few years later they're selling out to Nvidia for $40 billion although they now part own Nvidia. Masayoshi at Softbank appears to buy what he thinks is the next big thing and then selling out a few years later, be interesting to see what develops here regards Autostore which has been passed on like a hot potato from Jakob Hatteland to EQT VII to THL Partners in the last 5 years or so

The retail analytics tool was used to monitor shoppers, with shops closed and some not opening again you can see this is a shrinking market. Even cars can be designed and purchased online now so why go to a showroom for instance?

The bounce back loan has had its payment terms amended from 12 to 18 months now so that's another 6 months grace before that needs looking at
