Punters use phraseology like that when they want to entice others in so they can get out again, all part of the game unfortunately.

I’m wondering where the capex is to refurbish these hundreds of Pets at Home stores when they’ve only got a few quid in the bank. They had to borrow via loan notes last year to finish off two previous projects. What’s happened to the Bounce back loan? At least that’s on favourable terms regards the interest unlike the loan notes. I hope most of the staff are still on furlough, that would save them some money at least. I’m sure some of the punters on here think contract wins don’t come with a cost, maybe they need to look at a set of accounts from time to time?

It doesn't always follow that contract wins equal profits, don't go setting your stall out on increased revenues that will bring in zero profits at the year end which is what happens here in the main, you've just got a lot of busy fools making no money, this PLC is surviving on loans and need a profit to get out of the hole they're in, that debt requires repayment. The management get paid their salaries regardless whilst the company is bled dry hence the current SP.

The same management team have been promising tomorrows Jam sandwich for a long time and have always failed to deliver. One aspect when investing is to look at the guy in charge who has a miserable record here, as I've said before you takes your chances. If you want to see the power of management go look at Martin Sorrells S4C which is going places, already up 420% in the last 12 months and its not finished yet. I've been following this lot for a long time now and have seen nothing to get me even remotely excited. They've always had blue chip clients as far as I can remember but have achieved nothing. Who remembers the tie up with Coca Cola (do they come much bigger ) which was a "game changer" lol, I could go on but the current SP speaks for itself.

You're just polishing a turd, there's nothing in the numbers right now to invest, if they sold up tomorrow you would get nothing as there is nothing of value here

Those 3 buys only cost £6500 when added together which is what I was alluding to. A million shares sounds a lot but in monetary terms here it really doesn’t amount to much. The MM’s have increased the spread again which shows the lack of liquidity in dealing, without a large rise in the SP you’re going to be locked in here for a while hoping for these reported deals. The impression I got it that there may not be much going on until 2022. They’ll be needing a lot of money between now and then as everything comes with a cost as I’ve posted before.

I was just having a laugh at your comment Pimnappa, "A slow burner", you must have seen my comment about the sales figures not having moved much in the last 15 years under the same management team ? Sales maybe will be up this year and they should be after 2020, one of the worst years on record !

It clearly shows no progress at all under same management team, nil to show for it after all these years. Even the cash in hand is borrowed?

As i said well done if you make on the rises but this is still one to avoid for now until we see some real progress. Constantly quoting increased sales figures when in fact they no higher than they were 15 years ago !

Did you look at the gross sales when it was last at this price -------------> (August 2006) ?

It was £3.1 Million for the record which was 15 years ago

Revenue for 2020 was just over £3 million so down on the 2006 sales by 3%, even 2019 was only £3.3 million prior to the pandemic

If you add on the additional sales of half a million as outlined in the recent RNS it will be circa £3.5 Million this year so no real improvement on 2006 if you look back as an example

I could list cash in hand yoy which was £1.2 million at the end of 2005, today they have £93K which we know is borrowed in the form of a bounce back loan and also a business interruption loan (thank god for small mercy's eh)?

Do you see the pattern here, there is no real progress, there's no profit, there's no divi just smoke and mirrors

I can assure you in the good old days MDZ had a long list of blue chip clients, bigger companies that they're dealing with today

Don't read anything into this and it may be a coincidence but the aforementioned director bought £16.3 million pounds worth of shares at about the same time as Autostores expert witness was deliberating. Being a substantial shareholder he will pretty much have his ear to the ground regards events I would have thought. A few conclusions here, was the "expert witness" left floundering, JR has bought in to bolster the SP or the SP was at its low and he's took advantage of the drop, there may even be a further deal in the pipeline over ASIA way, who knows?

JR was already one of the largest shareholders so I thought it was odd at the time, watch this space................

One correction, Autostores expert witness "deposed", in law this actually means that he gave evidence (and was not forcibly removed) !
