The spread has moved out yet again, just shows illiquid the share has become
For the benefit of the poster who asked me about this :-
Illiquid refers to the state of a stock, bond, or other assets that cannot easily and readily be sold or exchanged for cash without a substantial loss in value. Illiquid assets may be hard to sell quickly because there is low trading activity or interest in the issue, indicated by a lack of ready and willing investors or speculators to purchase or sell the asset.
The higher the spread the more illiquid the share becomes, its a good signal as to what being traded or not in this case.
if you already own shares in a company you can do a dummy sell compared to a dummy buy and work out the difference with fees added in monetary terms. The difference between the two quoted prices with regards MDZ would be quite substantial right now.
