if mccall knew about schofield's affair with the young man, she should go and pronto. i doubted it at first but having read that just about everybody in 'this morning' knew that schofied was *** and living a lie, mccall must have known. that means the whole bod were aware that schofield was involved in a *** relationship with someone less than half his age while portraying he was the homely family man. there is only one outcome, mccall should resign and so should several board members of high rank. put rufus radcliffe in charge, he seems to be the only one there with any vision!

All of the big streamers are more interested in the 16-30 age group because they are brainwashed by social media, ITV are no different. But imo ITV and ITVx have a major plus, it's free or very cheap in comparison. The 'Broadcast' UK viewing figures show ITV consistently have great UK viewer numbers. This share could be classed as a sleeper, since McCall has been CEO it's been bombed out. Low volumes, high institutional stakes, bad press, any positive news will see it improve. The MM's are trading it among themselves it seems, but looking at it as a company, it has a lot going forit!

The BBCTV interviewer got destroyed by 'Mouth Almighty' Tate, she had Tate lost for words and he reverted to script..anybody who has seen this degenerate narcissist in full flow knows the BBC interviewer had Tate over, she was clear and concise with her questions, all Tate did was an impression of Trump...shout over the lady and deny, deny, deny. The Dame has taken a lot of stick, but ITVx is going great guns, so advertising is down 10%, that was forecast months ago. Studios are booked into 2025, viewing figures for soaps, Love Island, I'm a Celebrity and other shows are always in the top 20....I don't know what McCall can do to raise the sp, maybe we will all look back on this and wonder why we didn't bet the farm!!

I don't like GB News, but I saw Farage interviewing Trump last week on it, poor old Nigel looking up to the Orange Blob like a star struck teenage girl looks at Harry Styles.

ITV News and current affairs is pretty good and the Dame is doing a good job.

Sadly Dame Carolyn McCall gets a bashing all round, but is she responsible for the bad press heaped on ITV for daring to launch ITVx and take a bit of the Digital Market. You never know, ITVx may shake a lot of the self acclaimed Media Experts. As for agreeing with the odious Aussie Queen Dan Wooton and the original trans****** completely Loopy Colin Campbell, I will put my faith in Dame Carolyn.

Poster Goldfinger on ADVFN posted that bid discussions he had been posting on for over year had resulted in a bid coming soon. He/she posted yesterday that word was out about it.

Maybe this news has some substance, or maybe yesterday's spike at near close was short covering. I am not convinced that ITV are bid target, but I am curious to see if anything happens on Monday. Absolutely nothing in the press, and there would be imo something if a bid was in the offing. I hold and see ITV as a cheap share, a bid would be great, but not likely while there is so much uncertainty in the UK economy!!

If profits are 550 million then as ITV SP was 115 last March and delivering a profit of 800 million a fair share price would be 75p to 80p. £700million profit and above should see the SP at £1 by my reckoning.

WimTom...ITVx has been going 3 months, so if it turns in the viewers and it seems to be atm, the market will look to what it will be doing in the future. The sp is now relying on good report with the ITV board confirming good advertising numbers. According to that piece in the MoS, it's looking much better than the pundits thought, therefore 100p could well be reached soon.

Very positive, but let's see if it puts a few pence on the sp this week and what Dame McCall has to say on Thursday.

The share is overdue a re-rate, it is still 22% down on the 110p it stood at last March and as much as 35% down on 2022 highs. On the strength of the Mail article, there is nothing holding it back.

Malone has 10% of ITV and he will use it anyway he can to get top dollar for it or to scupper competition. Wouldn't surprise me if Malone surfaces again on ITV, he is hand in hand with Banjay Production and Peter Chernin who have shown interest in ITV Studios. Banijay have been buying up smaller banners in a bid to gain scale and secure IP. some would say they are on the end Malone's puppet strings. I think there could be an announcement by ITV soon.

I have ITVx through Amazon Firestick, it's been faultless and I am now getting the premium no ads. I am impressed with the content having watched a 'Spy Among Friends' and 'Litvinenko' and the TV movie version of '12 Angry Men'...over the Christmas period. I have ended my subscriptions to Netflix and Prime, atm I have only ITVx as a paid streamer. Hopefully ITVx will be a success, I have only seen good reviews so far!

McCall took the same stick at Easyjet, she got there is 2010 when the share price was just over 300p, she changed things slowly and took loads of stick from armchair know-alls, she took the share price to 1550p or a five bagger.

As the sensible posts here say, nobody reckoned on the pandemic, which has been a big hurdle for Dame McCall and just about every other broadcaster on then planet.
