ITV once again defied all by failing to reach last July's price of 86p. This has been 7 month;s of watching paint dry and stiil not able to perform. The market hates ITV and I am beginning to get itchy feet. This deal can't come soon enough for us, all patience has been spent. This UK stockmarket has become a joke. the dividends help a little but Rachel from the back office has reduced those outside ISA's.....who wants to invest in the UK....nobody!!!!

Don't read too much into yesterday's volumes, it was Triple Witching and share volumes typically increase significantly during triple witching days, often resulting in daily volumes that can be over 40% higher than on a normal trading day.This spike in activity occurs because traders and institutional investors must either close out, roll over, or offset their expiring contracts for stock options, stock index futures, and stock index options.

Why Contrarian123 is full if BS He or she posts continually of why all ITV investors are plain thick or stoopid. He puts it all down to watching this thread for years and making his ridiculous assumptions that we are all stuck solid in ITV and we are all mad. I have met many Cont123's who all have that know all attitude to others. Anyone selling is at the hands of MM's skimming what comes up. ITV share volumes are thin so they can manipulate the sp. Small private investors have no control over the share price, so why are there so many simpletons on this thread that don't have a clue.

ITV didn't make a bid for SKY so why would anyone say they can't afford to mwalk away. Comcast are playing a blinder, why is that because they can't move without Government approval. This SKY deal is nothing to write home about, if it comes off it will dilute the small shareholders, ITV are not forced to pay out a special dividend and the 5p dividend we are all getting atm will be more like halved to 2.5p.

Please don't think this deal is great, because it isn't unless they pony up and buy the whole shebang!

POGO....Long term and re-invest dividends is fine when you have growth. It has not worked for ITV. Anyone who used your old chesnut in the last ten years would have been better off with Premium Bonds or Gilts. McCall took the helm in 2018 when the sp was around 150p, it did rise to the 160p mark before it slowly dropped to around 100 to 120p in early 2022. Dividends were non existent for two years so no help there. In March 2022 the share price fell from 112p to 70p on market reaction to ITV taking on the streamers after it stated it would not. That turned out to be a good move with ITVx but the market had kicked ITV out of the FTSE100 which was a killer.

Anyways it is all history as ITV in 2026 is struggling to stay above 80p, if you made your investments when it fell to 53p you are doing bok, but you are in ITV at an average way above that, maybe 90p or more. You really need a lifebelt that is why you berate me for reminding you of your paper losses. True your investment is probably underwater but can recover, but don't try and kid the kidders you are a Market Wizard.

POGO...I am long ITV hence watching the sp performance and hoping for the rare chance of an update from ITV. You may well have £18k in dividends to come but should ITV fall to 70p your shares will drop over £50k in value, so you are perhaps overexposed to even a correction least alone a crash. You don't have a clue to where I stand on ITV, so best you don't make a fool of yourself making wild assumptions. You know you are overexposed, but if all goes well you will trouser a nice profit, but there could easily be events especially from over the pond where there is a moron loose with a nuclear football. Cash is king in these times, but good luck if it all comes off for you!

The headline is misleading, the ITV sp has been flatlining as per usual. The journo who wrote the article should be done fore plagiarism as he his article just parrots every article written since last November. Just another reminder that the ITV share price is still scraping the bottom.

An announcement they are having a deal with Comcast might see a rise, but a no deal is surely going to see this fall to the 60p's at which time it will once again be another groundhog day or jam tomorrow. There must be thousands of small investors stuck in the ITV value trap.

Spaghetti, I don't see why you are bothered tp post that you got out last year and no longer hold ITV. So now you will wait until ITV drops to the mid 50's and may buy.
