I gather there are a few on this thread who are underwater on ITV. The markets have a name for those who give out bad vibes on a single person within a company. It is called 'Protective Pessimism" it is a cognitive state of mind where someone blames all their woes on a person they secretly haven't a clue as to why! However having low expectations helps them to manage anxiety, hoping inside they are wrong so allowing them to be pleasantly surprised if that person succeeds.

Dame McCall has had a few awful periods since taking the wheel at ITV, but I believe she is succeeding and all of the unnecessary flak she gets here is over the top.

Tom I don't filter any poster, I read them all! Will the Comcast deal go through, well talks have slowed so who knows what might be going on. Many pundits say ITV may not be happy with the terms, so if that's the case I agree the M&E shouldn't be mugged away. I think there will be a deal, so I am positive but won't care if it doesn't happen. I believe the US is in for a correction and a much weaker dollar, so Comcast should get it done!

St Pete Tom, during my time I have met all sorts of people, many of them ultra successful and several of them on The Sunday Times Rich List. So forgive me when I read how you deal in multi trades netting thousands of pounds an hour that I think you are a 24ct fantasist. I have been around a while and I can spot a fraud. ITV know what the Q3 numbers are and either have decided to wait making any announcement, or are still talking terms with Comcast. Also talks could fail if they don't see eye to eye. If this is to be Dame Mccall's swansong, she will want to please long standing shareholders. Maybe a special dividend is a way to appease the many shareholders who are not happy. The sp one year ago on Q3 was around 78/79p which shows just how bad a performance ITV has reflected in it's share price standing at 82p GMT. My view is ITV is a victim of events, Brexit, Putin. awful Government etc.

The 2025 Q3 update was quite positive with a statement saying 'Total Group revenue grew 2% YTD, driven by ITV Studios up 11% and digital advertising up 15% as ITVX continues to perform strongly. Let's hope there is a good update and if there is a deal, long standing shareholders will be rewarded. Also this company is imo grossly undervalued and in no circumstances should be sold off cheaply in pieces that do not reflect it's real value!

Today's fall on very low volume is no cause for you trolls to cite ITV as a dog. A bit of MM ringing just means they can scare a few more tiddlers into submission. They will do it every minute until it breaks on the coming announcement. Keep buying this, it's money for old rope!!

since november 6th when it became known about the sky deal the sp rose 11p from 68p to 79p. since then it has traded between 79p and 84p or 20-25% above the nov 6th sp. anyone bashing this performance is obviously not savvy with the current market climate. they think itv should be 200p, that would be nice but i am happy with the dividends and the 20-25% because small gains are still gains!

Yes Fingal we all know that markets are so straight that even the MM's can't control a share price in a low volume stock. You can put your faith in all of the technicalities, the bots and all of those nerdy tags the purer than driven snow crow about, but I will not be believer. It has now become obvious that the markets that ITV is about to become swallowed up.
