The UK sector have all outperformed ITV, can't see a share that has fallen over 60%. The US sector has recovered as Netflix fell to $1.75 in June last year and are today $4.60 and most of the others fell and have recovered....anyways there is little point in trying to criticise McCall to people on here, they seem happy with their lot. ITV is the worst performing share in my portfolio and you all should be calling for McCall to go. This share needs to rise 175% from here to get to where it was in 2018 when Dame Woke was appointed. I guarantee the sp would rise 15p on her resignation!
An interesting piece for 2024.

Hi tom, you keep coming out with the same old thing. Get rid of the Dame and the SP will be back at £1, why will it.???
Why will the sp rise if McCall is replaced. It's coming up six years and she hasn't achieved anything! ITV became a dud share due to the inaction of management, late to streaming, ultra woke, behind the times and seen as boring by younger people. In my opinion there are better media people out there, ITV needs new blood, Dame McCall is a boring, behind the times surrounded by a board who live in the past. It's not a question of 'if' it's now a question of 'when' will they get rid of her.....I have heard that behind the scenes things are unsettled and that her days are numbered!
What has the Dame done that is so very wrong?...apart from getting rid of Piers Morgan (good riddance I say), although I seem to remember that he walked out on the show & quit. wrote bald eagle
Bald eagle, what time are you due back on the planet from Cloud Cuckoo land? I am not going to list her gaffes and bad decisions, there are just too many. God only knows how she is still there...Radcliffe the ITV had of streaming sold his entire holding in late August at 75p, he could buy them back tomorrow for 25% less than the £600k he sold for. Are you getting the picture why this company has no fans. Maybe you just don't get it! but please don't post a defence of McCall, she doesn't give a hoot for the long suffering ITV loyalists like you.
ITV under the stewardship of Dame Carolyn McCall has been a disaster. When Dame McCall started as CEO of ITV the share price stood at £1.67 against Friday's close of a penny share pathetic 60.90p or a fall of nearly 70%. Or to put it into terms of what rise is required to put those who were long ITV in January 2018, ITV needs to rise 175% from the lowly 60.90p it stood at on Friday at 4.35pm.
Possibly ITV is one of the worst performing shares in the FTSE 250 and with McCall as boss we may well find ourselves in the FTSE 350. What a disgrace she has heaped on the company, when people named her 'Dame Woke' of Cloud Cuckoo Land, friend and brown nose of Megan Markle and Prince Ginger snaps, a woman who thinks ITV is her Woke platform to show how not to run a TV company. Dame, please go, nobody but your woke admirers will miss you.
McCall has done nothing in over 5 years except make ITV shrink to the minnow it is today in a shark filled pond. She has been a disaster, would McCall supporters feel the same way toward a bank, or a friend or business partner who had lost them over 60% of their investment. McCall was late to the parade with streaming, she has made ITV so woke many viewers are turned off. She let Piers Morgan walk because Megan Markle complained and that alone cost ITV 500k viewers, she slipped up badly with Schofield, she wiped 40% off the share price with the badly mistimed ITVx announcement in March 2022 and that's just a few of the gaffs this Jonah has made.
Gaff after gaff and still these loyal McCall followers resist getting shot of her, what planet are they on.
ITV's back catalogue is a very valuable commodity, too many people cannot see that the sum of the parts of ITV are way more than it's current MKt Cap. Problem is, ITV would be crazy to sell any of the parts that make it perhaps one of the FTSE 250's most undervalued companies. When someone says that these old shows are dated, they are talking rubbish. I recently watched the first series of 'The Sweeney' and 'Minder', both of these Thames TV productions are terrific. The list of great shows from the past is huge and so many younger people are tuning in to older drama's. When Michael Jackson bought the Beatles back catalogue, they told him he overpaid. Later sold it for billions....as I say, ITV is far more valuable than this bombed out share price suggests.
Congratulations Dame Carolyn, you and your hapless board have succeeded in bringing ITV to it's knees. Close tonight the Mkt Cap of the whole of ITV is a lowly £2.4 billion....in y reckoning that is £600k less than the £3 billion that you indicated the studios were worth in February.
Carlyn, have you sold your ITV holding along with Roland Rat or whatsisname Rufus Radcliffe the only man who has made any money dealing in this dog with fleas!!!! What a shower of failed fatcat crooks!!!!
This is a dog with fleas, McCall is a rubbish CEO, they are churning out woke rubbish content and wonder why the shar price is scraping the bottom.
Fire the board, not one on the ITV board worth £50k a year and McCall should throw in the towel.
Russian is spending christmas with me. Meeting my family. All my many children by different mothers.
Wimpleton Tom, have you doubts about your manhood? comments like you posted above show you to be a man trying to prove something! So you have many children from different women, yippee we all wanted to know about your dalliance with an array of unfussy females. If true, all I can say, is their best day was the one they booted you out the door. What a bore you are!!
Pogo....good post but why do you think Rufus Radcliffe sold his ITV stake in August. It was a great move for taking a short as he was on a 20% profit when ITV were down at 61p last month. However, maybe he needed the money, or he knows something, but what a terrible move to make when the ITV share price is in the doldrums. My broker among others thinks there could be sinister reasons.
This is cut from ADVFN ITV thread and pasted here, so thanks to Corby.
Are we all suckers to stay invested in this pile of crap?
ITV board member Rufus Radcliffe sold his ITV stake at 75p....he knows something about something bad at ITV.
Trade Alert: MD of Streaming Of ITV Rufus Radcliffe Has Sold Stock. Some ITV plc (LON:ITV) shareholders may be a little concerned to see that the MD of Streaming, Rufus Radcliffe, recently sold a substantial UK£469k worth of stock at a price of UK£0.75 per share.14 Aug 2023
Anyone here is free to write an e-mail to Investor Relations at ITV, or to any board member at ITV.com. Active investors should make their gripes known to the Dimlo's running the company, not whining to ach other on a free BB.

Interactive Investor my broker took £70 from my account yesterday and marked the withdrawal Corporate Actions...I thought Thursday was payment date and I have 4000 to pay for. Anyone know why they have taken £70 without informing me?
The market makers are having a great time with SYNT, those not taking their rights might get 5p a share if they are lucky. I bought here at 55p thinking it a recovery play, then they spring this crap......my fault I didn't do my research and I ain't taking the rights thank you!!
Dame McCall and leveling up, that's so funny as she has been so successful at burying ITV in a hole it's firmly stuck in. With funds owning most of the shares and pirate Malone with 10%, this hole we are stuck in is set until something happens to pull us out. If I could be granted one wish, it would be McCall's P45 and cards handed to her with a nice woke pink ribbon.
If you read this Carolyn, please resign and go do some leveling up somewhere away from ITV, you would make so many long suffering ITV shareholders so blissfully happy!!!!!
Social Media ads do not hit the spot, TV ads hit the spot...not my opinion but that of experts. ITV's fall in advertising is due to the slump we are all in, advertiser's budgets are being cut all round, however according to the following C&P from an ITV pundit, things are not that bad. Read as follows posted by Hades on ITV 2022 thread!
UK 2023 TV Advertising revenue estimates now c.-7 to -8% yr on yr with ITV out performing at c.-6 to -7.
As we know after S4Capital results the pure digital market is similar but I believe TV will recover with the economy but pure digital will likely never retake former highs - It’s grow cycle ahead of market is over as it matures.
If a board member of any of the FTSE 100 sold out their stake, this LSE thread and the others on ADVFN would have taken more notice. ITV is no longer a FTSE 100 company thanks to McCall's stewardship. If the board replaced this all time loser today with a more dynamic CEO such as Radcliffe. It seems they are content to watch and wait for another huge gaff to happen, which is on the cards. ITV is screaming out for leadership, it is in urgent need for a CEO who is seen as dynamic, innovative, futuristic and devoid of the woke culture that McCall has in Spades!
Institutions have so far not demanded some ITV scalps, but Radcliffe's share sale tells us he has no faith in how the company is being run. If the guy who runs the most successful part of ITV's broadcasting is selling, then what hope is there for the ordinary shareholders some of who bought ITV shares at two or three times this morning's sp. And a reminder to the dwindling McCall lovers who say other shares are suffering the same fate, I study the FTSE and none are so please post what companies have shed over 50% of their sp in less than 18 months.
