It is true that Dame McCall's reign at ITV has been lacklustre. The sp dropped almost 50% in a week back in March 2022 which was one hell of a blow and imo well overdone. But in reality that brutal fall from 117p in February 2022 to 75p in early March, made it easy for many funds to increase their stake. The sp dropped as low as 55p by September 2022 because of the scandals inside ITV morning TV. So here we are today with ITV still the ugly duckling, but anyone looking at the company know it's half price.

My point is, I consider the longs who have averaged and enjoyed reinvesting dividends will be rewarded greatly, those who took didivends and spent the money have done ok. If the trolls on here had any brains thay would give up, flogging the dead horse isn't working as more are going long. Why these dunces think many of us haven't made money, why funds like Silchester and many others are long. Why Malone was caught with his trousers down when selling 5% of ITV for under 70p, really just shows how the trolls and bots know jack.

How they wish it could all be done double quick. I think the ITV board would love to get this deal done and dusted. But sadly any bid for the M&E or for the whole lot isn't straight forward. Firstly the Govt have to give it the thumbs up and the speed Starmer and co move at, make that onerous. Also, the longer the process means it could be a failure should anything blow up US markets.

I am happy to let ITV grow from here, it is a totally different company than it was a few years back, McCall haters can't escape the facts. This left alone could easily go to 200p in a few years while paying a healthy dividend. If you are long and still a buyer, it's a good investment. My advice is take no notice of the bashers on here, they are probably just one person with a bunch of different handles.

TellyTom, what part of 'I am good with ITV' don't you get? if you actually knew anything about investing in stocks, you would know that nobody know what a share is going to do. That is why someone such as Warren Buffet who might be the most successful investor preaches the the long run. Those who bought at 53p and averaged pluse reinvested divs are fine and ITV is fine. Sadly there are too many people who believe that buying a share is like betting on a horse or a short term wager. My advice to all is do as your acumen thinks best and take no notice of people who tell you ITV is a loser. The fundamentals are sound and it pays a good dividend, if those change then re-assess your position.
