RE: the question now is....12 Jul 2019 15:54
Thats a good question Chilston, I don't post much on this board now... but i'm still holding.
For me, this is a two answer question and also tags onto your point Doggo.
1. The market wants to see a cash generating disposal sale. PIs like me want to see this, its great seeing this big plan unfold but until its RNSd or part of an official message its not official. Theres no guarantees of JUV reversing into SALV or a LEAP sale or a successful trial. It could happen. but I for one wont invest anymore until there are results.
I'd very much like this to happen of course, like all of us. When Factom releases client names, SPA updates or there is tangible news that is linked to revenue the SP will move fast upwards IMO, it's all overdue....
2. Doggo, the average aim investor does not hold the depth of research you do (or time). So while it's great to say these have been missed.... in reality they are not even on the radar of 99% of people who are looking for investments. I know this example is not exact but lets take https://woodfordfunds.com/funds/weif/fund-facts/#main Woodford fund for example, there is clear information for investors to understand how much, when and what is invested in a fund (and FFWD is a closed fund, right?)
To this end, the SP is only going to be 'results based' until FFWD get their act together and properly address the market with
- what they do
- how they do it
- why and when
And document this on their website. Like a fund that wants to attract attention. IMO the BoD treat FFWD public facing with some contempt, they have no one on the team that is passionate about updating investors with investee information when i compare funds to funds. A Tweet from Ed once a month does not count in my book.
Investors want to be kept upto date by official channels. They want to know how much of the fund is being invested in e.g. wellness compared to IT (JUV vs Factom), investors want to know the SP of the shares held with other listed companies, the FFWD treasury amount, and to hear from the CEO and Chair in the official website.
FFWD want to be a big player? They need to act like a big player. Look at the other material and investor relations other funds operate.
Again, I personally appreciate your insights but most people invest on facts and data not because they heard it on twitter. Due to FFWD not relaying information to the market (on my historic experience) on time, or at all and falling behind the statement of ' we' cant because it's to the company to release' boarders on pathetic.
Appreciate this is strong, but theres no reason why FFWD can't show SOME data. SOME PR of their investment portfolio for gawds sake why not a simple RSS feed on the company website of the investees PR etc.
Either one of the investees will announce of FFWD will change the public face of their fund, this is what it'll take to get this SP moving.
my 2 cents.
