well aviva rose by 15p yesterday to 425, so decided to sell all my av shares, they have since dropped back down to 414

This is going to be a very difficult share to judge, I'm sure its been very good for you guys who got in on the low prices, but what price will it reach, and what's the top and bottom range going to be on this, very difficult for someone like me coming in on this current price I think ??

Hi sd2, they seem very good, but I'm fully committed at the moment thanks for that though, I have one investment trust, Scottish mortgage trust, has been doing really well, but taken a bit of a nose dive at the moment, as they have been making some changes, was fully into funds when i started in 2014, then started to sell off the worst performers, sold off the most in the last year, and used the money to top up on my shares when prices were down low, down to 8 funds now 25%, if things continue to rise it hopefully will pay off, especially Lloyds which is my biggest 25%

Hi sd2, that's all quite complicated stuff , well for me anyway lol, cant say I'm familiar with equity release.
13 months left for me to collect my state pension, so trying to build up my crappy private pension in the meantime, so need some good dividend stocks, currently have, lgen,aviva,mng,tesco,smt.vod,lloyds bank, lgen is the number one for me, and vod and saga, are in loss, also have 25% of portfolio in funds, still trying to reshuffle things a bit and trying to figure out what's working best for me, and what's not, and hoping things will do better this year, otherwise I will be working until I'm 75 lol
And always trying to pick up tips from people

SD2, We all have different circumstances, for me close to retirement, i see this as a hold in sip for income, thankfully after topping up on dips, i now have average of 229.20, but whenever i top up from here on its going to be averaging up
I use stocks and shares isa for personal things , tax free

Sd235 good on you, getting in on the low prices, must be very tempting to sell up and take the profits,if it gets past £3, agree think there is little risk here, seems well managed

Hi flecci, think letting dividends accumulate is probably the best option, but as moleman says, nothing is guaranteed
