RE: Gone above expectations29 Oct 2025 22:23
Good evening D.C, I haven’t had a great deal of luck from trading, I recently sold about 75% of my Aviva shares for around £6.50 when I had an average of £3.80, ok so I made a profit but the thing is I will probably never get a chance to buy them back for £3.80 again, so now I’m losing out on what was a good dividend yield, same with Lloyds I had an average of around 44p and sold for around 74p, they are now trading around 88p, so I.M.H.O hold onto the shares that are working and providing a good income, such as mng/lgen/phnx or any that have been performing well with a progressive dividend history and just concentrate on any under performing shares that you regret buying, maybe others here have had a lot more luck with buying and selling, or maybe they just don’t talk about the one’s that haven’t worked out as well as expected, hopefully the budget will not be as bad as some of us fear and we don’t see a big drop in the share price, I should say that around 40% of my portfolio is in tracker funds, so I’m fully exposed to the UK
I’d like to think I would learn from some of my mistakes, but I’m sure I will keep making them
Anyway good luck all
