CSDI well fingers crossed with this one, we can't predict what will happen in 3 or 6 months time, so I hold money back for further top ups should we get a big dip

I agree inflation is going to a problem drifking, and no doubt some sectors will be affected more than others, as i was saying hold onto these good divdend payers IMHO

I'm thinking of laying back on a sunbed in Spain myself ola ;-)

Bought in here today mainly for the dividend, if it rises I hold if it drops I will add to get a lower average, hopefully thinking medium to long term it could be a nice earner and helps to diversify my overweight on insurance holdings

Pretty much the same with direct line and Aviva, we did see a good surge when there was a possibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine the other day, then they dropped back when talks failed, so possibly it's that and inflation holding the shares down, but unless your wanting to sell, sit back and enjoy the nice upcoming dividend guys

Dan, I wouldn't have a clue which horse to pick, just like my share picking really, and think there's more chance of this getting to £2 a share than you and Mikey stopping the bickering, but neither is impossible lol, hope we finish on a high tomorrow, if not there's always next week, just hope Fred can improve with his arousing :-)

I'm also concerned about inflation costs, and it may not be so easy to pass on those costs when people have less cash in their pockets, but still seems a good entry price here at the moment

I'm starting to lose face here, and will have to go into hiding for a while if i don't hit 130 tomorrow, may have to start be some takeover rumours

Typical when you want it to drop it doesn't, I'm waiting as well , will see where it goes later on

Thanks for clearing that up dan, lloyds took a drop in sp today and so did itv, so Porsche got in there doing his usual stuff, so my guess is he looks through all the ftse 100 stocks every day to see which stocks take a big hit, then gets in on those boards calling everyone morons etc. For investing there, a bit sad really

Porche has moved on to lloyds and itv now, but he will be back when the sp drops, just going on the law of averages me, I can't get it wrong all the time ?

Yea i understand that Dan, you said you bought 125.7 and poss. Sell 130.7 so was just refering to that 5p difference, so i meant how much profit on that after all costs cheers

Dan, will be very interesting to know how much profit can be made on 9k with a 5p difference after fees and tax, something I've been thinking of doing myself, but I'm no good at those calculations

Sold up today guys with a profit, got a feeling this might drop more than the divvy, and been through simular consolidation before with tesco which didn't work out too well , best of luck to everyone
