Dan I know your fully aware of all the possibility's here, and if your happy to hold and ride out the waves, that's all that matters, If I was heavily invested in Vodafone I think I would be tempted to sell a small percentage off should this pass the 140 but without that crystal ball who knows what's right or wrong, for me this is only 5% of my portfolio and think it maybe best to just leave alone for now as the dividends are covering the brokers holding fees and a little extra and I would be selling at a loss, most of my dividend stocks are either in profit or floating in and out of profit, what I find works best for me is to top up my current shares should the share price drop below my average, rather than, selling off and buying new shares all the time, quite often when I have bought a new share thinking it's a good entry price and it's now going to go up and up, it will go down and down instead, unless I see something I think is really good bargain, some investors on these boards will tell you everything they touch turns to gold, so maybe they are very good at picking the right shares at the right time, but I cant say that's been my experience

Hopefully we have a few more ladders to climb before we hit that snake, then it will depend on the size of the snake, you have to be very brave to play this game, it's not for the snow flakes ?

jonathb, I agree the price seems undervalued here at the moment, and for me if I can top up for less than my last top up, I think that would be a better option than selling up at these prices, but I realise others have their reasons for doing so

Thronegames, lot's of different options to choose from depending on what you think will work best for you , for me it will be another top up here if it drops down to 2.50, just seems too undervalued for selling at the moment, just like a few of my other divvy stocks, and there's no guarantee the next stock you pick will rise, not everything stock you buy turns to gold

Hi csdi, yes I'm not concerned about this one at all, there's always a risk of it dropping further, but a very low risk I think, and a risk worth taking, just sit back with fingers crossed here now, and hopefully it will bring some nice rewards, let's hope it will soon turn from red to blue

Hi Soton, yes that will be something to consider depending on what happens here and how high it will go, enjoying the upward ride at the moment, I also I made a mistake of not topping up here around 110 which would have given me a better dividend yield, so I think I will need to start trying to make this work better for myself

Yes all good dividend payers, surprised nobody mentioned mng ? still think lgen is the most reliable though out of all those mentioned, and that's where I feel my money is safest, also does seem undervalued right now, good luck for the 21st

Hi guys, hopefully this will continue rising for a while, the only concern I have is when Vodafone reached it's hight of 142 last year 10th may, it then took a sudden drop back, I don't recall any particulate reason for it at the time, it then carried on dropping all the way down to 106 at 3rd November, does anyone think we may get a repeat of that this year ?

Dan, interesting topic that, as you know I'm always trying to learn from more experienced investors, with the hope I can get a bit better at this game, as I see it dividend stocks seem to go in a cycle throughout the year hitting there top price usually on approach to exdiv and bottom price somewhere in between, so if history repeats itself Vodafone hit it's peak last year 3 weeks from now, then started it's famous ski slope, and that's not always a bad thing as it then gives investors an opportunity to top up on the lows increasing their shares at a discount price, but hopefully some of the more experienced investors will correct me and give you some good advice on that

Not many share analysts on this board now?, I expect most of them bought in around 110 and sold off at a profit in the late 130s, then moved on to their next recovery stock, so any thoughts how high this could reach before some sort of decline ?

Well I love a happy ending to the week Dan, only 3 weeks to go to last years highs, and it is increasing each week, Can we beat it this year ? shall we say next weeks predictions in by Monday evening?

Phyl, I'm sure your right about the banks being undervalued, but I've been with Lloyds since 2015 bought in then at around 60-65 p and was in profit at the time, then came the ppi claims the pandemic Ukraine war inflation etc. etc, I'm no expert but absolutely anything to do with the economy pushes it back down, topped up during Pandemic to lower average ,so floating in and out of profit now, it's now my biggest holding 25% of portfolio and I keep telling myself it will get to 70p soon and i will have made around 50% profit, but I've no idea when that will become reality, but at least they are paying a dividend again now, so while I've been in the red there for the last few years and still had to pay brokers fees for holding, lgen in that period has been paying me full dividend, but as with most shares a lot is to do with timing, something i don't have a very good track record for lol
