That is worth more than the sum of Wood's debt and a value which cannot be calculated by an accountant.

Pure fantasy but the point is their revenue for 2024 was $9,083.3 million so they could afford it.

Deal of the decade for any company who could buy Wood and pay off debt and they are many.

The FCA investigation isn't concluded and as far as we know it nothing has been found. To reduce the SP offer on potentially 'nothing' is ridiculous.

Froggles you forgot to mention when George glanced up from his news paper (unusual for him, he was reading the FT). "Hello son" he said "Don't worry about your father because sometime in the future you will buy shares in Wood and they will eventually sell for 55p after suspension"

Without a waiver extension I presume Wood may have the 200 million of cash from SID?

This would make it difficult for a rival bidder because they would have to pay back the cash to Sid presumably at an extortionate interest rate! This leverage for Sid to push through a low offer to shareholders without rivals.

They could have sold their 160p shares at 200p and bought back at 17p. Oh to have a time machine and get 12 for the price of 1.

Wood and Sidara are aiming to get a binding transaction agreed by 30 June, when a waiver of Wood's lending covenants is due to expire

Seems they are using the waiver expiring to force the deal through without giving another bidder a window of opportunity

Everyone here wants to make money, long or short. But for shorts to come here with the intention to harass those who are long, wishing for the collapse of a company employing 35,000, I cannot think of anything more immoral.

Those wishing to make money out of misery could have chosen long or walked away and wished us the best.

I am OK with billionaires making more billions. It's fundamental to capitalism but they should drag us plebs up a little with them and not at our expense. Like 35p+ isn't much to ask for us putting our trust in Wood and I for one can get out alive.

With a lot (for me) invested its easy to seed doubt. I don't like the thought of hard working tax payers like myself getting screwed by billionaires for them to make more billions. Guess the world never changes.

This only matters relitive to how much you can afford to loose and what other investments you have.

Personally I am in deep and if this goes wrong I do not want to know what others have invested. It will highlight my stupidly so let's hope for good news and for us longs to support each other.
