We are witnessing a decadent society in decline. When the masses start to suffer hopefully we can rebuild through hard work and ingenuity as our ancestors did.
I think we can all agree that 30p is cheep for a fantastic company like Wood. Fundamentally what they do is second to none with financial issues out of the way.
I am still amazed a second bidder has not appeared, therefore I am holding my shares until that door is firmly shut if it isn't already.
RE: 35p or more - snapped up - š21 Dec 2025 12:25
Graff has been saying Probably 60 - 125p since at least last February when most of us thought that was reasonable. Still is if you ignore all which has come to light since and was hidden from us.
Graff has been the most consistent optimist on this board š
I grew up at the dog tracks. We bought open racers from Ireland and bred them yet now I wouldn't bet a penny. Where there is money you will find crooks but hopefully better now with better regulation.
I hope you have better luck than we did. Funny who you meet!
Wood shares are like greyhound racing. You are not in control and anything can happen. Part of the buzz.
Wood is the hare and about to be caught with Sidara trap one and favorite. We don't know if it's a one dog race or if Worley and Apollo are outsiders. All fixed for profit by men in smart suits, not in flat caps.
I would think the FSA investigation would target individuals rather than the company with no effect on shareholders. Like we haven't suffered enough due to the lies of those accountable. We are the victims here and the victims should not have to pay. IMO
The opportunity now is to average down if you are confident enough, but perversely the SP where it is does not inspire confidence. I can't take more risk because I'm heavily invested and I rather live with a loss than risk my house.
If the contract wins keep coming and disposals for cash flow and to reduce debt then that only makes the company more attractive to an alternative bidder. Unfortunately we can have no idea where the turning point is or if that's just pie in the sky.
A positive GM today and some good news RNS yet the sp finishes in the red. This is really testing my patience and I'll be glad when the s**t show is over.
Cobblerman, the problem is (or was if the disposals are enough) cashflow I believe. Not what the company will be worth in 2 years. Also it's profit making companies Wood has been selling thus negatively effecting future profits.
