In the May RNS and when the GM was announced, and in the detail of both Resolutions 2 & 4 it states:

"The authority shall expire on the earlier of the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting in 2019 and 7 June 2020, unless previously cancelled or varied by the Company in general meeting."

So not really news that they were not passed, as I read it, they expired anyway.... am I wrong?

I am invested here and have been for a while, I know different people have varying reasons for buying and selling shares, but I just don't get why on earth if you have ben invested until this point, you would sell just a few hours / minutes before a meeting and news we have been waiting for. Of course, we may not get exactly what we want / expect from this meeting today, but to wait until this moment and then bail...........I don't get it, it is not as if you couldn't have got this price on a number of occasions in the proceeding few weeks.

Maybe I will in a few hours................hope not!

Do not the rules state, should such a takeover happen, that it be at minimum the highest price paid by the interested party in the previous 12 months for the shares they hold / have bought, so not in £s, his highest price is well below that...............I think he could just take us out if he wanted, at a premium to be sure, but not at an excessive level. Just a view, I may be well off the mark and it might not even be on the agenda but just trying to understand possible scenarios.

Unfortunately only spare cash I have is currently earning interest for Halifax! Hoping SP remains at this level for when I get MY money back from them from the additional OO shares that sadly I only received 26% of. When monies come back (unsure when, Halifax can't tell me), I will be in again, so as much as I want price to rise, happy for it to remain here for a few days more...................

just to be clear, I am a holder with a low average, and am very positive here already being in good profit, would not want anyone thinking otherwise, just trying to understand motives more and potential outcomes, and perhaps stimulate some conversation. GLA

I do, as to price, no idea, would completely depend on timings and where the business was at that point. But if you had all that money, experience, knowledge of the sector and contacts, why be listed here with all the regulations required and share the 'rewards' with thousands of others, when you could simply own the lot?

I am no expert, but just unclear what the actual advantages are to him of being Listed, can anyone perhaps enlighten me (and others) on the real benefits of being a Listed share, raising capital is one to be sure, but I guess he doesn't really need that bit, some kudos perhaps, but would he care about that? - what are the others?

MCCO, Mitch1967 and toolforthat, many thanks for the responses, Mitch1967 looks like your point on debt and ownership has started to be answered already! I personally do believe that at some point he is likely to buy out the business completely, just not sure why he needs the aggro of many PIs, however as long as the SP continues to rise in the meantime, and the offer is good, I am happy about that, even if it means we never realise the true potential value here over the longer term.

I too was lucky enough to be in FOOT, cursing myself that I didn't buy more when the shares were purchased at a very significant premium that one day and then remained in the 40s for a while, in hindsight it was so obvious what was happening I guess, but profit is profit and managed to double my holding in a short period of time as I hope many others did too.

Just to be clear, I am a holder here, but as we all know / believe, the Sheik is looking to take an active role in the business and perhaps be on the Board, company even being named after him shortly, clearly very wealthy, already has significant stake, why would he not just buy the business outright, could easily afford to, why would he be happy owning only a large holding amongst many many other smaller PIs, rather than just buying it all up at a premium to current price. If he has huge plans in the future, surely better to do that now than wait until share price has risen hugely after plans shared / part delivered........................thoughts?

much as I would love to this share price to soar (and believe it will over time), I love the fact that we go up a little bit week by week and don't have the huge swings so often associated with penny stocks, much better for the heart!

a question for those far more knowledgeable than I, what does it mean when sells far outweigh buys but share price going up? Have learned quickly that buys and sells numbers are often inaccurate and do not appear to rationally support share price movement either way, but am genuinely interested in trying to understand this phenomenon.

Hi SlowlySlowly, I was referring to RKB's post at 2.34pm which was discussing Antos and the OO and what he may or may not have done. I was thinking the answer lay in the RNS which was the point I was trying (probably poorly) to make.

In terms of the placing shares I am unsure, some suggesting they are already accounted for, but anyways, I don't really think it will make a huge difference in the LT which is really all I am concerned with presently, it may reduce his % but not his intentions, I am confident he has it all factored in and I won't be spooked by that at this stage.

Forgive if I am being stupid, but does the RNS not make it clear what he has done without the need to speculate?

Looking at the numbers it would appear that he took up the OO to get the 758,000,000 he was entitled too, but he received 960,327,349, from which if you subtract the 758,000,000 gives 202,327,349 additional shares, this just happens to be 26.6% of 758,000,000, so I suspect he opted for 100% additional shares and got similar to most others....circa 26%? He then bought 247,917,600 in the open market which gets him to current holding, these numbers are broken down in the circular?

Very happy to be corrected if I have misunderstood this though.

I am finished with them, will move ISA when time is right, but with share account will simply trade as per normal but each time I sell any shares will take money out and move it to invest elsewhere due to there excessive charges of £25 per holding to a max of £125 to transfer (ISA different though as mentioned), they are not having any more money off me then necessary

Just off the web chat saw message from 'onlywayis' and checked account, now they are in, why couldn't they just tell me earlier....aarrgghh!

Lucky you though, I only got 26.39% of what I requested and I didn't ask for many, perhaps they did it because I was kicking up a stink......teach me, now probably have wait 3 weeks for money to be returned, hey ho

Apparently Halifax have removed some costs of transferring accounts so a complete ISA is now just £12.50 in total to move elsewhere however many investments you have in it, mine will be going to HL where I hold another dealing account I think, there are no charges from them to transfer in but it can take 10 days or more so best time it right if anyone thinking of doing the same in the coming weeks or months as clearly trading will not be possible during that time

so, just web chatted with Halifax and they were a little apologetic but unhelpful, the lady then asked if I wished to raise a complaint, to which I said I did, waited 5 minutes while she registered it and then came back with this:

"We are working within our business timescale of 10 working days for the event, though I don't anticipate the event will take this long. As such, I am unable to uphold the complaint and it will be closed with no further investigation but you will receive your rights to escalate things further to the financial ombudsman if you wish to do so."

So raise a complaint and then immediately reject it, some process that is, what a joke and I am going to another platform as soon as possible.

Thanks for that DB83, I am sure you are correct, buying pattern in last couple of days is odd though don't you think? Looks like someone is accumulating shares, can't possibly be coincidence with so many buys at the same amount going through. About time we had some news methinks.
