Very lucky 6m share sale on Friday at 5.47pm..........saved themselves over £200k, guess it was probably at a loss but hey, £200k better then than it would be now....! I wonder who that was? Answers on a postcard.

totally with you illbetabuck on that, I think the Lib Dems are being underestimated at present, there will be a very large part of the population who previously voted Con, unhappy with BJ and others, and keen to stay in the EU, 48% of voters in the referendum voted to stay, perhaps some have changed their minds, but so have some who voted the other way, let's say it is 50-50 now for arguments sake and difficult to argue with that presently, I see a very large amount of people voting as you suggest, I will be one too when the opportunity comes, sadly we may already be out by then though!

Very sorry for all on here who have lost money on shares or holidays. I had some flights booked in a couple of weeks, have managed to rebook on Jet2 (3.00am this morning....!), however their prices had increased a little. I will get money back thankfully due to CC and insurance cover, and also I am told the difference in flight costs due to 'consequential loss' - worth others being aware of that which I had not fully appreciated - GLA

Hi Cloudy Mountain, yes all booked on CC so at least I would be able to get money back through that ok I believe.

If anything does happen I appreciate the flights will increase quickly so will need to act fast, but not so fixed on dates to be honest so could probably change the hotel for a small fee and give me a little wiggle room on flights in terms of airline, airport and dates...........heres hoping anyway!

well yes I could and I did, but they have clearly been briefed due to expected amount of calls they will be receiving, and they will have to be very careful in their comments to customers at this time, my point is that they were very bullish, there was absolutely no suggestion of being careful in what was said or guarded in any way which is what I expected.

I am no fool, I understand how these things can work and I appreciate the need to be positive for them, just was far more so than I imagined, thats all I am saying.

well, I have flights booked with TC in a few weeks so I tried to contact them, not thinking I would be able to be honest, believe it or not I managed to get hold of TC both online and via phone, both employees were very positive and confirmed that 'holidays and flights will remain unaffected by today's news', even said they could '100% guarantee they will remain in business' and 'TC airline operations will continue to run as normal and our holidays and flight programmes will not be affected in any way' and 'there is no need to be concerned, the plans we have announced and the process we continue to work through will provide even greater certainty for TC's future' - couldn't get more categoric than that and far from what I was expecting to hear to be honest, they were both very very positive, we shall see.................seemingly all contained within an email from their CEO so I was told.

Are they just putting a positive spin on it as it is all they can do, but if so why be so very bullish, why not just say "presently nothing has changed and we will be in touch if anything changes"......interesting.

Web chat has been printed off and phone call recorded so all a matter of record now, feeling a little better but still sad for shareholders, not sure they will get much if anything. GLA

CAA preparing a £600m repatriation at taxpayer expense - why not just guarantee the £200m and save £400m...........am I being too simplistic?

surely someone will be having a word in the Bank's ears, not so long ago they were bailed out themselves and RBS is still heavily owned by tax payers anyhow, would be a travesty for the Government not to get involved at this point to support the business, the staff and the customers................the £200m is really just insurance is it not, the Fosun deal already 'agreed' will support the normal running of the business for the foreseeable future, will be amazed if they don't get a last minute reprieve. All that said shareholders will get nothing either way

Thankfully exited some time ago, really sorry for all holders here, particularly that one last night spending £289k on 6.5m shares..........ouch!

such stories always remind me how we are all only here as a result of a lot of good luck and fortune over many centuries, little decisions made daily by all of us have incredible consequences for the future whether we realise it or not at the time...............

To be fair Jace86, it was a gamble clearly, but if you were offered a £1k bet at great odds and told if it didn't win it would actually only cost you £50 rather than lose the whole stake, then it ain't so mad to be fair, I would consider it.

I remain a LTH, quite a bit of skin in the game (for me), currently at break even and not sold a single share since the PH RNS fiasco (sold and re bought then). I remain hopeful and optimistic.

dropped below £1.30 the day after I posted and now rebounded 13%, does it all the time, pretty easy trade with the dividend in the background if you do get stuck in it - whats not to like about this one?

not forgetting new experienced people to support the growth and development............

This SP does this, would not be surprised to see it lift into positive from here today, always trading in the range 1.5-2.0p, to be fair there really wasn't anything in the RNS we didn't already know, but again, it was lacking details on contracts, just more words, when the real news comes we will see the lift I am sure

bl**dy share only going up now because dividends are due in next few days............can't have us LTH getting a bargain now can we?

......and by sky rocket you mean what, I appreciate there are many LTH here with a deep knowledge and understanding of this share, realistically, what are people's expectations in the medium to long term, could it reach new highs?

also seems the wider market is struggling with this one too, up to 780, down to 690, appears many other people are wondering quite what to make of it too....

So really depends a bit on what price you got into Gall Try at and also how the market views Bovis and the new "Gall Try' in the weeks ahead and once the deal is done.

My investment is relatively small at around £3k, bought in as part of my strategy to seek both growth and divi paying shares and increase my portfolio spread.

I think I will hold and see how this plays out, once again thank you for your post.

I am still trying to work out what all this means and seems I am not alone - anyone care to try and break it down in plain English......?

Anyone any ideas, I am still in healthy profit here having an average of just £51.30, is it perhaps the view that a Brexit deal is now more likely and this was seen as a more defensive stock in the likelihood of a no deal scenario...? Is it just rebasing to a 'normal' level as other investments start to look attractive again, or is there something else going on I am unaware of....?
