any absence of an RNS surely tells it own story, being the company it is and the importance of such a deal or not, Lloyds would need to come clean on the rumours pretty quickly now one way or another, if they fail to deny, it suggests to me it is on.

Apologies if already been stated but there are far too many messages on here to keep fully up to date......

As I see it unless we get an RNS from either Lloyds or Metro on Monday at some point, then highly likely this is on and they are talking. I initially thought the rumours were exactly that, rumours, however I am intrigued that as yet we have not had any denials or communications from either side and bearing in mind the size of this potential deal, and the companies involved, I would have expected something by now.

Let's just see what Monday morning brings, they won't wait until the afternoon to deny anything if that is what they are going to do.

If still around this price by Monday pm and with no news, I may be tempted to get more shares, but I suspect a quick jump up on Monday morning in the absence of news to at least £2.50.

was offered 2.30, now just 2.26, not deramping, I want this to do well but we all need to be realistic here, no way will Lloyds offer 3/4x current MCap, why would they need too?

not sure I have ever seen a share spend so much time in top and bottom performer lists, sometimes both lists in the same day....... couple of times within the same hour!

it just doesn't appear to know which way to go

interesting 3 large buys late yesterday.........not particularly usual on here to be honest, worth keeping an eye on!

TheFarEnd - you are right of course, I did, apologies, it is so flipping confusing at present;

Tory leavers - remain Tory
Tory remainers - remain faithful just to keep Labour out or Lib Dem perhaps
Tory floaters - may decide to switch to Brexit anyhow if they are fed up with their MP (splitting vote)
Lab leavers - may stay faithful if hardened Socialists, or Brexit Party or some may switch to Tory
Lab remainers - stick with party or Lib Dems if they are fed up with their MP

Whatever the MPs say, it will in effect be a second referendum, all other policies will be well in the background. Chuck in a cold winters day with 6 inches of snow and an electorate who have just given up on the lot of them and god help us!

Does that sound better? Whatever the case it is a mess and a hung parliament is the most likely outcome IMO and perhaps even less clarity on Brexit after it all is done.

Gate13Boy - I sat bewildered at that Trickett bloke, absolute joke, he actually tried to make out that it was Labour who had called for the GE, the audacity of the fellow. No Deal has not been taken off the table as Labour are saying, it is merely a delay until the end of January, that is not what they were saying a few days ago but now twisting it so overtly, I blew a gasket watching him.......

I just can't call this one, Brexit is obviously going to play a major part in voters choices just as immigration was the primary reason behind the Referendum result IMO. Tory remainers will likely vote for Brexit Party or may decide to stay faithful, some may drift to the Lib Dems, Labour leavers will likely vote Brexit Party, some may move to Tories and a few Lib Dems - upshot is a hung Parliament with no overall majority for anyone and some form of alliance either Tory and Brexit Party or Labour and Lib Dems, and as far as Brexit is concerned we will be in a likely even more difficult position - that is how I see it - views?

What all this means for Lloyds is anyones guess, just glad I am a LT holder but will there be opportunities to get out and in again increasing holding as I go?

I do not pretend to be an expert in CLP, there are so many things to understand and it is a very complicated business.

However, in my humble opinion, nothing has really changed here, if you believed yesterday in the opportunity here then why would a court delay change that. The SP has dropped because so many investors are impatient and will withdraw now and reinvest back later as we approach the court date again, they risk being out if an out of court agreement is reached.

This has happened in PAT too, court delay after court delay in India with the SP rising towards the date and then dropping hard on delay announcement, only to rise again as we approach the date again.

To my mind this is an opportunity to get back in, why would the SP not rise by todays fall as we approach the next date? I bet you it will, so if you believe in CLP today presents a 15% minimum opportunity.

Just need to keep reminding myself to be patient, nothing but good news since I started to invest here a year or so ago, I cannot actually remember any bad news at all, and the good news flows regularly as GB is great at marketing the business and being visible. I topped up a little the other day even though I felt I was at the limit of my investment and today I have again been thinking of dipping in to take me to 750,000 shares. Average is still below todays price so pretty happy (wish I could say same on some other investments), just can't really understand why it has not moved more on such positive news streaming monthly. Ironically it is perhaps the fact that this share moves so steadily that attracts me, so often in AIM shares shoot up and then plummet down.

Frustrated, a little disappointed, particularly when I see other companies move on much less, but certainly here for the long term and no plans to sell, may even add at around the 1.80 mark. GLA

Disappointing results, but could have been a worse reaction, seems to be holding steady above the 590 mark, dividend cover remains pretty reasonable so not thinking it will be cut and they say as much.

Could be an opportunity to get in, 6%+ divi, covered by profits, core markets doing well, and Europe situation will resolve at some point hopefully, one for the longer term perhaps. GLA

a number of large sells and they are swept up pretty quickly down here, always seems to happen, so tempted to buy more but really at my limit for this one with 700k shares..........decisions decisions........

when it goes back under 1.30 I will be back in, always a 10% opportunity here!

Could not agree more Cringsing, all sorts of reasons to sell a few off and not necessarily anything to do with the business performance. Look what happened to GVC after Director sells, big drop and now back over where it was pre the sales. I can see no reason why Greggs won't go from strength to strength. I bought in for the first time at 18.00 thinking I had missed the opportunity. There is much investment so dividend is light, this will change, I am keeping a close eye on it in the coming weeks, if it drops much more I will get back in again with a few quid.

love this share, strong dividend, rises as it should on good performance, good prospects and minimal chat on here - always a good sign I have learned........!

I bought in a few weeks ago and doubled up earlier this week thankfully. Very happy.

Lets see how long it is before someone else makes a comment, often a month or so between them.

I must confess, a few weeks ago I was thinking once my ASOS shares reached a point of profit I would sell and move on, having missed the opportunity when we had the last rise. I was taken by surprise on the move forward following the results and so have held off selling for the moment. Where can this go do people think, have we seen the last of the high 20's, will this move back to the 40's in the coming weeks? certainly looks likely with rises pretty much every day.

I am in a quandary and seeking thoughts, it feels quite quiet on here bearing in mind the movement we have seen................

Just back to where we were a few months back, delay and the 'nervous' / 'impatient' holders are selling up and moving on.

Once we get a new date which will inevitably come, the price will move back up to where it was in anticipation as buyers get back on board.

Only 2 things to do here really, sit and wait it out or buy on the dip if you are so inclined. As I said earlier, I did top up a little keeping my average low (now 4.8p), would be surprised to see it fall that low to be honest unless a negative view from the court, so for now I will sit and hold.

well, having bought in originally at 3.9p and holding for quite a while watching the ups and downs and missing out on the opportunities to increase share holding at no additional cost, I have today added a little, fingers crossed for a short delay and positive news!
