RE: Pardon my ignorance20 May 2021 18:00
Pardariff - it's a reasonable question and one often asked, but simply any dividend cannot be priced in, we don't know what it might be, we don't know when it may be paid therefore no one is going to be prepared to 'pay' for it.
Put it another way, many on here believe it could be £1.00, indeed some believe more, but if the SP was for example 50p-60p hedging towards the £1 number, with some of the potential dividend 'baked in,' would you be buying shares, I guess not, no one is prepared to pay for something that may or may not happen in a time frame they are unclear of. SP's tend to price in actuals, some sentiment, some rumour, but generally facts, and then only when formally laid out so they can be assessed.
Presently we have much conjecture, the Board have hinted at much but have remained actually very tight lipped. I remain very bullish and have once again added this morning at 27p, believe it or not I have more than trebled my position since we came out of suspension, I never thought I would have the opportunity. Once the facts are laid out, when we have more details on MT, when we have details on a dividend, when perhaps we are made aware of what is being sold, what JV's are in place moving forwards, and who else is involved in the whole thing, perhaps then the SP will properly reflect what the business is truly worth.
Personally I am not one of the multiple pound believers, based on nothing other than I can't really believe I could be that lucky! I think 50-60p as a dividend is very possible with shares retained and depending on exactly what is retained, I would be happy with that.
EUA is all consuming at the moment, so much to think about, so many permutations, so very exciting and every RNS throws in a surprise. Next RNS due soon I would imagine.
