I don't think anyone actually believed there would be an announcement at the Capital Markets Day unless there had been an RNS from EUA, of course that would be wholly inappropriate and I cannot remember anyone suggesting that.

A number of people, myself included, merely highlighted today as potentially a key date because of the event and what the content may reveal.

We are all only guessing of course, but in the absence of anything else it was a reasonable view that today could be, and I repeat could be, the day when something was announced. It was a more plausible guess that picking "next Wednesday because it it is my dog's birthday........."

Anyway, no RNS so far today, however the NN presentations and press release have revealed some interesting points, much we probably 'knew' but nonetheless excellent to actually hear it from them.

In terms of the SP, I am actually very pleased that it has held up so well today thus far after what was an astronomical rise yesterday, it appears that those selling are being quickly gobbled up.

We may even go blue for the close.

Suggesting that palladium is / will be the most in demand metal with prices rising to perhaps $3,000 an oz next year, $4,000 per oz within 5 years and price to continue growing until at least 2030........

Now I know valuing any business you have to look at past performance too, some people have mentioned average price over last 5 years, but based on where we are presently with metal prices, what level do you use to value EUA....?

I would not be using the average of the last 5 years when the price is believed to double within 5 years from now, would you?

That we are only 0.5p down this morning is actually fantastic after such a meteoric rise yesterday, it could even push on from here which if it does bodes very well indeed, it is another beautiful day.

Looking forward to hearing what is said at the NN day, even if we learn nothing new with regards EUA, it will be interesting to see if they mention the MDA and their thoughts on the PGM market going forwards.

you have Tilly, and I am absolutely sure you are right, I have never doubted you, I guess I am just a bit amazed at the volume - 800m shares with a value of more than £300m........staggering, I had not realised it was so much!

It has been a wonderful day, what with EUA and GGP my other large holding, the numbers have been incredible, I have been glued to the screen, refreshing and refreshing.........

Should be an early night really but I don't think that will happen. Fascinated to see what happens tomorrow now, and even if we don't hear anything from the NN day, it will nevertheless be very interesting to see what they have to say.

If you go by the EUA website there are a total circa 800m shares bought in large tranches, is it your belief and understanding that the MMs were sitting on such volumes going into today?

Assuming none of the trades on the EUA are duplicated, then it amounts to around £300m of shares bought into the close, you think they were sat on that many Andre01? Really?

Wow, what a day, obviously very happy, my 2 largest holdings by some margin both delivering super gains today.

Now, I have a genuine question, we know there have been some MIA shares accumulated over a period which could not really be explained, but we have seen buys totalling hundreds of millions of shares going through today, where have they all come from?

Before anyone starts questioning my authenticity, or accusing me of deramping, or just being plain miserable, I am not, I am elated, and have been here for well over a year, I have added and added, more than doubling my pre suspension holding and increasing my average from below 3p up to 13p, but I am genuinely interested in understanding where all the shares bought today came from. Can anyone provide any rationale explanations please.

I am rather looking forward to Monday and Tuesday to be honest, from a date and activity perspective it has to be our best opportunity of recent times to get some form of news.

Whatever happens though, I remain completely of the view that the business has already been sold and we are merely waiting some final actions before a further announcement.

infor25 - I think it is interesting tbh, in the absence of anything else, many here have long thought that the Capital Markets Day may, and I say may, have some part to play in all of this in terms of timings, it's certainly a possibility, what could be more exciting than announcing a huge new PGM project.....?

I reckon you could be right, it certainly does feel like something is gearing up, I have previously stated that 30th /1st is the next key date for us
for reasons we are aware of, but add in end of month (companies like clean dates), a month left in the year to tie up any voting if required for the NY, and a flurry of large after hours buys during this week (and no doubt tomorrow too) and it all looks like it could be leading somewhere......

Personally I believe the result of the FSP is done now and any announcement is being held for some reason - could be waiting on some resource upgrade information, could be waiting on finer details, could be waiting for buying company financials to be sorted and lined up, could be waiting on buying company internal politics and procedures, could be waiting for a specific date to announce in a coordinated way when it suits all parties......I just can't imagine for one moment that after 22 weeks and nearly 5 months (since FSP initiated), with involvement from UBS, CITIC and DLA Piper, we still have parties around a table having gotten no where trying to thrash something out, just not feasible IMO, and if this were the case I am certain we would have had an update suggesting as much - along the lines of "we are continuing negotiations etc etc"

Gilen - many thoughts, but I think, as someone mentioned earlier, perhaps simply the MMs moving it up as it was getting very hard for them to get the volume they required. It is most likely something to do with the funds situation but also the potential key date coming up at end of month, maybe nothing, maybe something.........

Whilst it certainly makes you feel a bit better, it actually makes little difference for the majority on here who are remaining until the end.

why did all these people buying today not pile in during the last few weeks, could have had 10% more shares......doh!

Phil Taylor did say previously when he sold a few weeks ago that he would be selling some more and that would take him just under the 1% threshold.

He has always been upfront to date so no reason to suggest he wouldn’t share if and when he does.

bbtablet - are you not referring to the UT, but this is not shown as one of those......!

Acro - not sure it is a 'big red herring', you are right though in that any involvement would not be announced at the event, however if you review the agenda on line, should NN be involved as many believe, then it would be challenging to deliver the content of the agenda with such a huge omission, if they are involved with EUA in some way it will form a key part of their strategic plan for the coming years you would think.

It maybe that dealings are not concluded as yet so NDAs become relevant, but for me this is the next 'key date' to be aware of for a potential RNS on either the 30th Nov or 1st Dec, it's a guess of course, but there is some merit in it I believe.
