I am in no rush, it will be when it will be, however GH did say within the last week that it would be before Xmas or perhaps a little after. That suggests 2020 to me, and if so that leaves today and a further 5 possible days if you include the 'Eves'

I think it likely we will get them within this time, I would have thought that at the point GH made the comment he would have had a pretty good idea they were imminent, if he had any doubt he would simply have said early in the NY, he knows how much people are looking forward to them.

Just my view.

saxonaxe - to be fair he does disclose everything he does on ADVFN, and whilst I would be wary of anything anyone posts on any BB generally, his actions match his comments and vice versa.

Sold to support his children's house purchases, said he would be selling more which would take him under the reporting level, then said a proposed house move fell through I believe and so was buying back in on the dip (opportunity), which he has clearly done.

I do not think the 1% point is that important for him at all apart from perhaps the hassle of it....but having never been in that 'fortunate' position I don't really know what is involved......

He has always said he believes in this investment and is in until the end with the vast majority of his holding, you have to respect the guy to be fair, reckon he is most probably a really decent bloke and I wish him all the best.

I may be one or so out, but since last December (17th) when we received the Flanks Update, we have had 125 RNS's, removing the 8.3s and 8.5s and obviously the PMEs, then we have had 23, 10 have been issued at 07.00am, 13 have been issued after that, I can see no reason whatsoever to assume we would get a 7.00am DFS for WK, it could quite as easily be intraday or after hours. Still all to play for today, tomorrow..........?

interesting - I have exactly equal amounts in both and have been topping up throughout the year from 2p base in both, have significantly increased my average as confidence grew, currently 11p average for GGP and 13.5p on EUA, have often been tempted to move some from one to the other and back again but I have resisted to this point, and too late now I think.

Started the year with a portfolio heavily around FTSE 100 dividend stocks, have liquidated a number of them as dividends cancelled anyway and put the proceeds in these 2, hoping it was the best decision I have ever made..........we shall see, but so far despite everything that has happened this year these 2 companies have turned around my portfolio performance dramatically.

I take little credit, it is a lot of luck, but has required some guts to hold when the SP has faltered, never sold one EUA or GGP share I can honestly say, hoping that this decision will be taken out of my control to be honest and most likely that is what will happen, EUA first, GGP maybe later next year - however I would be very happy to take dividends from both and retire to the beach...!

Really only 4 trading days left this year if we take out the Eves, therefore circa 25% chance of an RNS here each and every day.

if this drops on Monday I will be back in - 20% takes us back to 40p, any dog share I have which is circa 20% down at present, and I have a few, will be liquidated and piled in here, far better chance of getting my money back with this moving to 40p in an instant than waiting an eternity for others to move, if it moves down further then I just review the 20% bit and increase it sweeping up a few more dogs as I go.......that's my strategy right now and it works for me!

Agreed re Iain Rawlinson, he has always had a few positions as people such as him do so it does not necessarily mean anything.

However the timing is interesting, if it were full on at EUA would he be looking to take on something like this? (albeit I have no idea what sort of commitment it entails).

You would have thought it may suggest his load has lightened somewhat and that now it is merely a matter of time and for the big boys to do their stuff.

All speculation of course, strange how easy it is to jump on anything when we are in circumstances such as this and just waiting on news......!

GoatGuy - but that is not what you said, you made a point about trading levels, it was found to be factually inaccurate based on your own post for goodness sake and now you change the narrative - move on mate, or at least be consistent and accurate.

GLG - you are right, there has to be a time limit, there always is, I shared my thoughts on here previously regarding what I believed may be logical timelines but those dates have well passed....!

We must have passed by now whatever the initial view was, there will have been one, we are now 5 months and 2 weeks into when the FSP was officially announced, I just cannot believe that this was the initial plan. So, where does that leave us, why have we still not heard an outcome?:

1. COVID undoubtedly will have had an impact albeit we knew about it in July, but maybe not properly appreciated it completely at that point to be fair.
2. UBS and DLA Piper will want everything to be 'just so' and it is entirely plausible that there have been delays involving them, who hasn't experienced lawyer delays whenever they have instructed them...?
3. The resources upgrades are critical to maximise full value, these could be taking far more time than anticipated and all sorts of issues could have been encountered, notwithstanding any delays with Russian Authorities.
4. The resource upgrades could just simply be getting greater and greater so we may have deliberately delayed any agreements until we are more fully aware of what it is we have.
5. There could quite easily be a battle going on behind the scenes and our BOD are just sitting back letting it play out.
6. It is feasible that the resources are so great it has surprised everyone and the sums involved now far exceed what anyone imagined.
7. There could be issues getting finances in place for the acquiring business.
8. There could be disagreements between parties about any JV arrangements (Brexit negotiations comes to mind!)

It could be ALL of the above in fact, imagine that.....!

But we do know that they are still at the table, if they were not then we would have found out by now. The process is still 'alive' as we sit here today.

FWIW, I believe an agreement in principle has been made already, I have always been of the opinion that the FSP was an 'all in fair warned' process, the buyer was already known and everything since July 1st has been about details, resources, price, JV agreements and the like, just my opinion, but seldom do companies go into an FSP without having a pretty clear idea who it is who wants to buy you, often entering such a period is precisely because someone has made an offer and you just want to be sure that maximum price is obtained.

I would not thing it odd at all, of course in reality Gervaise is not going to be shadowing Shaun for 3 months and checking what he does or doesn't do, and any handover would not really take that long, but the sentiment is there, the consistency is there and that is important for investors both large and small. It also demonstrates that this decision is ultimately a collaborative one and done with the best interests of Greatland Gold as it's basis.

Whoever ultimately made this decision realises that, which is why it has been stated.

I posted early yesterday after reading the RNS that the statement regarding Gervaise was not particularly gushing - 'warm wishes' and 'we hope he is successful' etc etc, not exactly what one would perhaps have imagined after such a meteoric performance.

That all said, I have reflected on the last 24 hours, having not sold a share, and I am entirely confident about the future and that this decision was the right one whoever ultimately made it.

Obviously Gervaise was sad, he is bound to be, there could be many reasons for him to step down at this point both professionally and personally, but it was always going to happen one day. Perhaps it came sooner than he would have liked, perhaps he was coerced a little as NC wanted to ramp things up, perhaps things were moving in a direction he was not entirely comfortable with at this juncture, we will likely never know the truth.

However, he is still on board, he is still positive about the opportunities, he is remaining for a 3 month handover and he was very complimentary about Shaun.

Undoubtedly Shaun has a pedigree that Gervaise does not, that is in no way suggesting Gervaise is not a great leader and superb CEO, but Shaun has a skill set which Greatland needs right now and I for one was extremely impressed by him, the fact we can attract such a leader is a compliment in itself.

I did expect the SP to drop and if I had had spare funds I would have bought on the dip, sadly I didn't, I was surprised how quickly the SP corrected itself though and whilst disappointed I missed an opportunity, was greatly comforted by this.

I also agree with what many are saying about Scally, if there was any concerns at all about what we had there, would someone like Shaun jump aboard just as it was about to be announced? I don't think so, he would have done his DD and be clear he will be managing his CV and career very carefully.

I have a good holding here, been in 18 months or so and averaged up a lot over the last year to 10p, it is a long term hold for me, no exit strategy at this point since there is so much information and news to come out, but when funds allow I will be topping up as much as possible, I have every confidence this will be a great share for me and others who decide to stay the course.

I just thought it appropriate to rebalance what may have been perceived as a negative post by me yesterday, not that many would have seen or cared about it, but personally I felt the need.

Well we have recently been told it is in December and we have 11 trading days left, if we assume it will not be December 24th as nothing really happens then, then we have 10 trading days left, so mathematically from tomorrow each day has a 10% chance of delivering the aforementioned RNS, if no news tomorrow then each day has an 11% chance, then 12.5% by Friday, circa 15% when we hit Monday next week, moving to 20% when we hit the 23rd, and so it progresses.........could be a very interesting read and set us up interestingly for the final piece of the jigsaw perhaps.

‘And we hope he achieves...........’ companies are usually far more positive than this, ie say ‘we are confident......’ rather than ‘hope’

Mac - late trades always show as a 'buy' because there are no offer or bid prices entered on the EUA website, so whatever the price it goes through at is flagged a buy, happens every day

There have been many references to the 'company's transaction' in previous meetings, some people feel it relevant to EUA, others do not........does seem odd that they do not state more detail though.

lol, brilliant, and there's me thinking Mac reckons £1.20ish, he has been here a while, he is well versed in all things Eurasia, he has obviously read and digested all the RNS's going back for years, he seems right across all the data, he speaks a lot of sense................ and in reality it is just a green bin count - spat out my tea reading that....... :)
