The Harvey appraisal well must commence by this September. I think this is the prospect most interesting RRE and they know IOG are running out of time. Perhaps development costs make far more sense as these prospects are followed through.

IOG holders are not happy with the price (some clearly pretending!) that is lined up at around 60m. There was a very good point made on their BB about where RREs market cap was and it's financial position in comparison only just before Xmas. But it's all irrelevant isn't it unless we get more sense about 450m development? Does someone far more learned than me have a view on if that cost could come down and how it brings value? The big number is absolutely dwarfing the small number afterall.....

You only have to look at the IOG chart to see that the majority of shareholders will not like the offer. Doesn't change the reality though - I think rre will sit it out. The shot across the bows with the cln comment is very interesting.

I think straycat has raised some points that need addressing but volume and price are going to overwhelm the other issues near term. SP to cash position is cheap and there is lots to look forward to.

A company with diversified assets in multiple locations and relatively safe geopolitical locations and distributing healthy dividends command higher p/e - hence BP's 15:1. There are companies in unstable locations with p/e of 1:1. Actually I can think of some that are good investments. With RRE being in the North Sea I think 5:1 would not be outlandish. Also remember earnings will rise with Arran so price needs to be catching up further. This has plenty of legroom in my opinion.

The Friday price action was not 5 million man. The candles on that day were caused by proper shorting and Monday would have been a capitulation. The timing before Christmas especially would have forced decisions from people as Zibs says. The finding of another email doc on the 7th came barely 24hrs of trading time before a stay application that looks slightly more encouraging. This was seized upon by ************* with another message inviting shareholders to offload with IG asap. Monday's release of the judge's comments came an hour after the close of session as everybody waited for news. It later transpired to be from January. The pressure on shareholders to bite the bullet is unfortunate.

So it was a) then. That's all I'm saying. I don't know what I would have done. It was certainly a massive opportunity. The right person could have made a killing on the Monday if we weren't suspended.

The affidavit was what we read on the Friday and it read badly to both you and I. We both commented on the affidavit's panicked look a number of times. I definitely agree some did not see the seriousness of it but it stated the default had occurred and price accelerated downwards in the last 30 mins as a consequence. And you bought 5m as you were commenting on the fragility of the injunction? You either a) set that info into the market to get a good price or b) scaled out of a short. This is disingenuous but the shit would have hit the fan sooner or later, but not Christmas Eve.

You said you bought on the Friday and read over the weekend - are we referring to 21st, 22nd and 23rd Dec? This is what people question because the docs were released and read on the 21st by you and then price went south by 15%. Did you buy before or after the release - I'm not judging your right to do that because I don't know how I would have capitalised on that info myself... But this is the question.
