No mention of Phulbari, the PM flitting off to London to get her cataracts done....Tang talking the talk....be very wary of the potential outcome here.

I remain totally unconvinced that a satisfactory outcome is a .slam dunk' certainty. Australia remains a simple alternative to their problem . The only good thing is that they will make a right pigs ear of what ever they do....and there is no deep-water harbour to import the stuff.

That writes-off the next month then as she will be convalescing when she gets back to Dhaka in August, So, we will be into September, still no presentation and before we know it, we are a year behind schedule.

You can understand why the Padma bridge is still not ready, 20 years after construction started.

I feel moderately encouraged by the appointment of two new directors and the departure of JH, who seemed to do nothing except draw a salary. Indicates that the company is not up for sale as Tang would hardly make two expensive appointments if GCM were on the block.

The months are slipping by with little or no news. If there is no ground-breaking news by the end of July, I would guess the project had stalled

...you've got to hand it to the Banglas, they like a bit if hyperbole - top ten iron ore mines when they are up against Pilbara, Vale & Anglo in Brazil etc..... ?? The photos of the guys with shovels standing around at Bara and the girls unloading the coal ships with baskets, paint a truer picture. Iron ore won't happen for decades.
Strange how Phulbari is never mentioned by name - half a billion tones of top quality thermal coal.
But nothing, we continue to wait.

GCM is probably not a share for you as we slip our moorings and drift down into the mid-teens....
Very difficult to call now, but after a decade+ in AIM stocks, I'm older and wiser and they all have this inevitable predictability..... they go down most of the time interspersed with the occasional positive RNS then fund raising.
However, I'm going to put a positive spin on GCM - we haven't actually received any bad news per se. its mainly supposition and it is possible (slim chance perhaps) that Michael Tang could pull off a 'blinder' and get an agreed deal between GCM - China - Hasina / Awami League.
All out at 200-250p per share....not impossible and would give him & Dyani a substantial return.

GP the stake cost me 9K, currently worth 6K - don't particularly want to take another 'AIM' hit. Eleven years on, might as well try and get out at a small profit on the sale of GCM - at 50p

The common denominator H2G is …'nothing', as in nothing gets done. The decision makes (whoever they are?) should all chant that great line from the Killers - ' Never miss a beat' - ' It's cool to do nothing'
I'm suspicious about the LNG terminal being complete and functioning....probably a bit of Bangla hyperbole.

let's use some of her descriptive text to describe GCM's negotiations. How about GCM are seeking 'a deep and meaningful agreement' with an international miner, or we are having 'protracted discussions' with a new investor.
For me, ' elastic timeline' seems the most appropriate ie. somewhere between 1 - 6 months.

….of course there is - or is it just another red herring. Why would you have a licence for twenty years and then at the eleventh hour, decide you need a mining partner. Surely you would be in deep consultation with your 'heavyweight' Chinese partner and preferably use a Chinese miner. What has happened - nothing.

Beware the classic AIM sting. Company runs out of money / goes bust and unbeknown to us the shareholders, the one asset, the licence, defaults to Polo or Michael Tang / Dyani…...we're left with zilch.

The next RNS needs to have some real content.....alarm bells now beginning to ring.

GP - Kilkenny were a serious holder with a hotline to Michael Tang, the fact that they sold up and went, was glossed over by most. They went, not because of another opportunity, but because they didn't like the immediate horizon.
Taking the most optimistic view, we finally present to the GOB in July (probably Hamid) as Hasina will be advised to keep her distance from the project.
What happens - the usual vacillating, non-committal noises from Dhaka....an enquiry, a committee, a study etc....

Its totally bonkers for gullible people like H2G to talk of 25p to 500p or 900p virtually overnight - its just not going to happen....

Number 1 - Hasina has shown absolutely zero interest in mining the Phulbari coal, instead building a monolithic epitaph to her late husband, up the road in Ruppur. This construction, just 100 miles from Dhaka, will probably glow green like Homer Simpson's isotope, when the project is finally finished. Add to that the ongoing generator construction at Rampal, started in 2013 and still years from completion and you can see where her focus is - its not Phulbari.

I'm far from convinced about our project, the optimistic deadlines which were all missed, advanced talks...oh yeh, what talks,,,,submission to the GOB, the disappearance of Kilkenny.

…...kinda sums it up - those poor girls carrying the heavy baskets !! Can't quite make out the truck, but guess it has a carrying capacity of eight tonnes.....would probably take half a day to fill it like that.
The generators need 12,000 tonnes each per day - doesn't really stack up. Even with the Chinese engineering & finance would take at least three years to build a deep-water harbour.

Sadly all seems rather chaotic with no real leadership or plan.
