With regards to shareholders, you are correct. The information is derived from our shareholder register and as such we can only see what Computershare, our registrar’s, can see.
Hargeaves Lansdown and other similar service providers hold shares in nominee accounts on behalf of a (often large) number of underlying shareholders.
We would only see this as one holding. Similarly, many institutional investors may hold through multiple nominee accounts, some designated, some undesignated.
