Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
why do you think the BOD should favour small shareholders?
It seems a simple function of supply and demand, it is obviously hard to attract new investors at present particularly with the previous news re Moz.
Many trades are v small (many probable executors!). The company operates in the the 3rd world and has been in profit since when! be patient or if you are still in after 15 years how much has it cost you I wonder? is that why you stay?
yes but we have clear sight of them at a fixed price don't we?
unless it ends up being payed out as dividends and suffers automatic Irish withholding tax which could perhaps be a worse result?
Not my field can anyone comment with certainty (I am UK resident and domiciled)
It seems possible this action will creat a floor in the price in the short term but little else, I cant see a reason to accept other than need avoid trading costs and or tax (neither of which affect my holdings which are in profit in tax exempt accounts on v. cheap platform) so am almost certain to hang in for jam tomorrow, anyone agree?
Interesting point re the macro but for the whole world is what concerns me, have been trying to get some info on this point from KMR, hopefully soon if not I will ask at the AGM. I wonder will there be much less demand for Cat converters in the post oil world?

I guess that depends on their methodology, do they actually have or use reputable analysts or could they be just another ad flogging outfit pretending to know a lot more than they do?
why is the PB ratio important?
You are of course correct, not solely, but for a basic raw materials income generator which Kenmare now is, it is the most important.
In general terms:
You can only pay div's from current or past profits.
If you don't have the cash it is hard to maintain confidence if you borrow to pay dividends.
Hope that helps
No but it potentially has a huge effect on ability to pay dividends which determines the price of the shares!
It can affect profitability in many ways as well, sorry I lack the time to explain them all.
Q1 not H1!
