All the incessant whinging on here by the usual suspects won't matter a jot if that revenue number comes in higher again.

Ideally you'd probably want to see it at least at £2.5m to £3m or more (higher the better obviously). Or, if things are picking up in the second half of F/Y 2021 (as they predict in the annual report, unsurprisingly with ad spending in general expected to rise as restrictions end and the world gradually recovers from COVID), then you might want to see if they comment on Q3/Q4 revenue specifically (as it might be more likely to be better).

If they somehow manage to beat £3m in revenue I reckon you could light a rocket under the share price as people will take that as evidence of traction (and it won't matter if it's not a net profit overall yet - most tech business operates that way - and money will flood in IF the trajectory is good).

Cannacord now sitting on the bid. They had a recent TR-1, having bought 10% of the company for their clients, and looks like they might be looking to increase that now.

inthevoid - I've not made any assumptions....it was an observation with the benefit of quite a lot of experience of reading these boards and other platforms for many many years. These are fairly classic phrases I posted and anyone who's been around a while will know exactly what I mean.

I've also seen an endless number of posts like yours, with extreme confidence, almost surety. 9 times out of ten the person ends up very grumpy and having lost a lot of money (small cap resource investors that manage to avoid many duds are few and far between). Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones and this IS one of the exceptional ones ;) Remember though...everyone always thinks their one is! Most people also always think their "research" is amazing. Being "in big-time" or "from the start" is meaningless....

Thanks for the "must do better" judgement (it'll be hard...it's been an exceptional year or two :p). I'll pass a friendly one back in return, which is that you have the classic overconfidence of a naïve newbie investor, and that most of us have probably been there at some point. I wish I had someone telling me this a decade ago (even if I probably wouldn't have listened!).

You'll probably take all of this the wrong way but I tried! Beer time.

"Stock running out" normally means "please buy more suckers to push the price up for me".

Other good phrases to look out for are:
- "can't buy" (which is normally an outright lie - or someone with a rubbish broker)
- "MM's holding it back / going to have to let it go / do the hokey cokey" (OK I made the last one up)
- "1 code" (crazy people think a trade of 1 share means an RNS is incoming, or many other insane things with different numbers)
- "dead cert"/"no brainer" (the only people who believe a stock is guaranteed to head north are the no brainers)
- "wouldn't want to be out of this before the weekend" (dear suckers, please buy before the weekend)
- "will rise when america opens" (maybe I can get you to think the Americans will save the day like in a bad movie)
- "prolific" (what will make things sound good before I've proved anything useful I wonder?)

It's nearly 5pm so I think I'll stop there and go for libations and stop the trading education.

Personally I found the interviewer incredibly annoying. A bit like when BBC breakfast presenters think they’re Paxman and they’re really not. As well as the obsession with sound bites and then repeating them. Zzzzz.

I read adam's first post and thought the obvious conclusion was that HUM had failed again and SHG was the clear winner ;)
They're not even making a pre-tax profit in this gold environment.
SHG are essentially operating at 3/4 capacity before ramping back up following the drilling anomaly.

It's too early to be celebrating imo....however doing some digging on the mobile app what I found was quite interesting:

A significantly high proportion of the reviews of the mobile app were complaining about the advertising (not BidStack's). I suspect this may therefore be an attractive solution to an app developer monetizing their game without p*ssing off their users with intrusive adverts everywhere. If that's the case it does suggest a key reason for choosing bidstack over other forms of in-app advertising may have some merit.

Interesting quote in the RNS from the partner's CEO:
"At first we had a lot of concerns about using the technology, but the Bidstack team were really helpful and responsive. Now it is one of the networks that we will keep adding to all of our inventory. If the placements are well designed and give a sense of a real life experience, it can boost the game's overall revenue stream and improve the life time value."

It would be interesting to know the concerns, whether it was performance, look and feel, or something else. Positive to hear that BidStack were able to able to respond and convince them of the merit. Bodes well (and if it goes well is the sort of thing that could potentially be used as a case study).

I do still look in on SNG occasionally, for old times sake, despite having taken my money and run there (hopefully it'll pan out if you're still invested there - although if it does it'll be slightly annoying as it'll mean just holding my original position would have almost certainly made me a multi-millionaire). Seems like it's been purgatory for a lot of people there waiting for anything to happen (sadly part of why I cut and run - having little faith in governments to get potentially helpful treatments quickly to the front line).

I've been doing alright but nothing astounding like SNG just yet ;) Fair to say that my investing in recent times is currently affected by my view that world markets are in a precarious place, where money-printing has been rocketing shares back upwards / supporting them, but if it ever stops (as the fed keeps talking about) then things aren't that rosey economically around the world, and there could be another big correction, or even crash, in these days of automated trading and stop losses etc. So I tend to be 60+% cash most of the time and trying to work with the remainder. Many people will have done better than me in the past year as a result...but that's the price for prudence I guess!

Let's not beat around the bush this is about as high risk as it gets. I don't mind taking the odd high risk punt (got at least one at the moment) but that should be accepted/known when doing it! Anyone thinking this is a sure-fire winner is deluding themselves or others.

Let's hope so. I'm still fairly skeptical of whether BIDS will do it. Even though I've invested a little bit.

However, I also I wouldn't rule out someone just taking over the company, before they ever get a chance of going really big.

You could imagine a suitor from the traditional ad world, simply wanting to take them off the field, or integrating them. Or a big games publisher, like EA ,wanting do similar. The key would be for them to do it before the share price heads rapidly north (but they see enough traction or potential to actually do it).

That doesn't make any sense thechancers....as he definitely IS "a betting man on guessing the future of the share price".

His post history shows he started buying above 25p and continued to buy more and more at high prices. When this was about 24p he said "I'm heftily invested here" and even said "80p by Christmas 2020 is my bet".

So, unfortunately, he's heftily invested in an early stage tech company, that's less than a tenth of the price now and is grumpy. What's done is done.

I'd say BidStack is clearly in the second "facing reality" stage and the question is whether lift-off now comes. That's all anyone is betting on with an investment here. It's a high risk and potentially high reward punt.

FYI: March-May is actually the worst part (rainy season wise). November/December is the other rainy part (but not quite as bad).

Humble_Pie: Whilst I might agree with you about this having been horrendously overvalued (and maybe still is) that stuff about Tanzania is a bit wrong/outdated. I'm invested in a gold mining share that's operated in Tanzania for years just fine and there's been a change of leadership there following their COVID-skeptic leader dying (surprise surprise). Since his death Mama Samia has taken over and set the country on a much more pro-business/mining footing. So much so that the company I've invested in has already started receiving VAT rebates they've been owed for years. I won't mention the name as I don't want to promote that (but it shows that Tanzania is heading in the right direction politically - and is perfectly possible to operate there).

Anyone get the feeling there are certain people with historic badly timed buys who, as a result, are now going to say everything is terrible, regardless of whether any piece of news is good or bad :p

I think the reality is investors were very naïve investing in things like this and GFIN (expecting them to explode overnight).

Unfortunately that was never likely and it's no surprise the share prices have fallen considerably.

However, this doesn't mean they can't succeed, just that developing an whole in-game ad ecosystem was always going to take time to develop, refine, and convince the market of the impact/value.

I think it's currently the most sensible time to invest in BIDS, with the MCAP back down to a more sensible level for the risk/reward, their technology/system more developed, and revenue now rising into the millions. If that revenue keeps rising (along with adoption/usage of their tech) then interest will fly back.

It's still a risky bet, as someone said earlier, but risky punts often make the most money. I wouldn't bet the farm on it...but I've taken a little punt just in case it is a game changer (pardoning the pun).
