Swampmonster - To be fair it is a tentative sign that HUM is indeed heading in the right direction at least. Could be the appointment of a competent COO making all the difference for them now. If it continues that way there could be a good recovery there.

I used to invest in HUM and I'm glad I swapped for SHG. It's a far better run company imo. I think far too much is being made of yesterdays news and an awful lot of 2+2=22 is going on.

Anyway, enough of all these posts trying to promote other companies, BCrader - refinancing the debt doesn't explain the drop in costs. If its AISC for this year will be $1275, as the company currently claim, then 1800-1275 = $525, times production of 65,000 roughly, is about $34m. That's before they've paid tax. So maybe $25m after that if you're lucky and that's the only cost not in the AISC (probably isn't). This is all based on their numbers for this year.....You're essentially saying they're generating double (or more) what their own numbers suggest is possible! Doesn't stack up to me. Anyway - if you disagree that's fine. No need to clutter this board further with discussion about that one! ;)

Listening now. I think everything looks good - just as it did before.
It's just this short term issue that's in everyone's minds (including mine).
They explained it a bit, and made sense, to an extent (perhaps reassuringly they've done grade control drilling for pretty much all the areas planned for 21+22 now, so more confidence in model, and less chance of any more surprises).
Only bit I'm not really clear on is what changed, between them thinking they could add the new higher grade ounces in Q3/Q4 to average things out, and suddenly finding they couldn't.

I was paying under 100p a share for BT less than 9 months ago.
It was in a long downtrend, etc.
It's more than doubled since (although pulled back to 185 at present).
The position of neither of them has changed significantly....just the whims of the speculators driving the price.

Shpunken - I think this is a common misconception that vaccines are dangerous to the young. They're not. Just like they're not dangerous to the millions of the rest of us.

There's a miniscule risk to them just as there is with us older folk.

The difference with them comes in terms of weighing up that tiny tiny risk versus the fact they'll likely fight off covid even if they do get it.

The key is though, that aside from protecting others in society, by helping stop spread of the virus, and also therefore helping reduce chance of mutations, that if they all don't get vaccinated and COVID spreads through the young, the virus itself still poses risks and likely will do more damage to more people than the tiny tiny chance of damage from the vaccine.

Basically, everyone should get jabbed, it's better for them and better for society.

Mikep109 - You seem to be completely misreading everything I post then arguing against it. Why are you even talking about the over 40's that I never mentioned once. Last reply to you as this is just silly.

Mikep109 - sadly vaccinations being opened doesn't magically make everyone double jabbed.

It was around mid may when they STARTED vaccinating under 40's. The earliest you could get a second dose appointment likely to be 3 months later or more unless you live in an area with disproportionate resources to people.

So if you were 39 and rushed to get your vaccine as soon as it was available, and the earliest second dose appointment, you would likely not be double jabbed until mid August.

That's if you were rushing to book at the first moment you could in mid May.

It's not young people's fault.

A large proportion of working age people haven't even had their second dose yet....let alone a booster shot!

This is why they always talk about percentage of people vaccinated because it's distorted by old and infirm people - and the conservatives in their villages with 1 doctor per person. It's just deception.

It's no surprise it's spreading...they haven't vaccinated people under the age of 40 in large population centres.....politicians tend to think people under 40 don't exist and only look after themselves or their peers/age group. Because they had their jabs months ago, the morons think everyone has, and are impatient to open everything up.

It’s far from the only business to have had Covid impact yet you seem to be completely ignoring that!

The roaming boost could actually not be directly...but because the likes of EE have reintroduced EU roaming charges....you might see more people switching to Vodafone who haven't reinstated the charges (or not yet anyway - perhaps for this reason - boosts both image and potentially customer base).

booboo: Also, today, this is probably contending with gold having dropped a fair bit since yesterday, tho currently just bounced up back over $1800 again. Still being played with like a cat with string and safe to say nobody is confident in its direction yet.

A lot higher grades than CORA ;) and more of them (although the one CORA hit was longer).

I think the "problem" is that most of us who are focused on this (or goldies like this), have come to expect something in this ballpark, from Shanta. It's part of the reason I think the SP is in the continued upward trend I often post:

So it's not really a problem, if anything the opposite, as I think the market now has a lot of confidence in the company such that it is given credit by steady accumulation, but not in a reactionary way to RNSs, instead in the weeks prior to them.
