You say that as if the BoD could just easily do X and make the share price double. If you'd got some magic answer that would allow that I'm sure they'll be all ears...

If your response to the original question is not "are you f*cking mental"....then you've not left your house/flat/etc.

Patient - yeah the net amount has changed a fraction (typing too quickly) but it's chicken feed in the grand scheme of things.

They had net shares in issue of 26,438,136,936 at the end of Feb 2014 and basically hasn't changed at all in the past couple of years.

That fractional rise was in Aug - Sept 2017.

In January 2017 - there were 28,814,133,298 shares of which 2,196,187,775 in treasury. So 26,617,945,523 net in issue.
In March 2019 - there were 28,815,258,178 of which 1,294,425,491 in treasury. So 27,520,832,687 net in issue.
Currently - there are 28,817,590,018 of which 1,202,433,543 in treasury. So net 27,615,156,475 in issue.

So dilution: virtually zero as it stands.

It was outlining the reason/backstory for the buy-backs in more detail. Essentially it's some creative financial engineering to try to maintain their credit rating(s). The link is working for me again now (no idea why). Title of the article is "Vodafone’s alchemy in biggest sterling convertible bond" if you want to try to find it (against T&C's to share directly).

This has been surprisingly strong in recent times (especially considering the markets have been weaker in general).

What amused me, is I'm pretty certain, from the way he speaks, he's either been given a little notes sheet to comment on, or is looking the the drilling results up as he goes (or refreshing his memory from his own notes), as you can hear him start off positively with "looking pretty nice actually" with a moderate level of surprise at how positive the recent drilling results are, and then upgrades mid flow to "really really good grades", starts to qualify it by saying that "just a few holes doesn't make a project" but then realises they've actually drilled lots and corrects himself to say "but actually they've got, they've reported, quite a number of results here, that are really very tantalizing, so well done on these guys! This is looking quite good!".

Let's hope you survive, as I (obviously) agree that, with a modicum of luck, there's every chance Shanta could go on a great run in that time period ;)

I've seen nothing to suggest anything other than the company currently deploys its capital well, keeps costs/margins firmly in focus at all times, and acquires well. I also very much like EZ's presentations and the focus on the use of funds (rather than many CEO's selling the hype whilst hiding how the money's being used, or wasted in many instances).

This being the case, I think that, if they continue in this manner, the only things that will prevent the company growing very very nicely, are the gold price tanking to seriously low levels, some kind of major in-country/political problem, or an even more unlikely total u-turn in terms of their success with the drill bit.

So touch wood lady luck is onside.
