DubleD stop writing post after post of complete nonsense. It's exactly what every small company does. Raise money to exploit an opportunity and do some promotion. They got the money to exploit a massive opportunity in COVID, on top of their impending results in conditions like COPD, and have rapidly run these extra trials. Success on a drug trial is never guaranteed - however the indications were all looking good prior to the COVID crisis.

The only question that needs to be asked is why you carry on posting this nonsense.

It's a fact AZN were previously interested in SNG, did a deal with them, and will definitely be watching closely (may even have had discussions with the company again following progress). It'd be amazing if this wasn't on the radar of other big biotechs or biotech funds too.
Having said that it's probably just some prat like smallcappick or one of the other idiots on twitter inventing rumours because they can't wait patiently.

Also gives the broker an added selling point, to larger investors, of saying the price is stable at rock-bottom placement price, and they've only got X amount left to place. Which is more appealing than a declining price.

I think they've got a mandate to offload around/above 35p on average. So most likely they'll swing the price up and down around this price to keep generating trading. That's why I mentioned the 37/38p the other day (ie a few pence above the 35p fulcrum). As once it starts to break away from this range it probably means they've got none left to offload and the selling pressure has been removed.

You're less likely to see TR-1's here because the holding needs to be above 3% and for SNG that means well over 10x the position size (compared to TRX) to require notification (due to the difference in MCAP). But doesn't mean big lumps aren't being taken in the background (which I think these large late reported trades reflect).

The most positive thing is, there's clearly good demand, as massive blocks of stock are being taken at this price, and it's disappearing fast.

Miggy007 - Just like Cathal (the ORPH CEO) said on the podcast someone linked to earlier. He wished Acacia had contacted him because he could have lined up lots of buyers for all the shares (based on demand for their placing).
I imagine Finncap are both making the market here for PIs (offloading some of the stock) and simultaneously selling batches to larger clients (which may be many of these late reported large batches).
That's why I think just totting up trades is a futile exercise as there's activity you're just not going to see on here (until after it's happened).

As I said earlier. You'll always find out later what's going on. Hence you're starting to see these late reporting things gradually crop up.
Acacia are probably much further along in the dumping than everyone seems to think and won't be long before they're gone.

Bella - you need to take into account those notifications are old. They crossed the threshold down to 12.56 two days ago. Since then there's been 12m volume yesterday and another 2.6m today so far. They could easily have flogged another 7m more already. That's purely based on the on-market stuff. If they've sold any shares off-market in trades that will be delayed/late-reported it could be even more.

Basically just told us what we already knew. Acacia took their stock and dumped it. Took them buy surprise as they think they could have just placed it easily for them with institutions who wanted more in their last placing. Thinks will be done very soon.

Someone argued with me in the past on here about that ShareSting as if you couldn't possibly know how a double-blind study was going. Of course you can have a fair idea. You just don't know the exact outcome until the end.

Otherwise it would be impossible for RM to say: "and the magnitude of the symptom changes being observed so far in the current trial puts us in a good position to determine the potential benefit of inhaled IFN-beta in this patient population".

So, of course it's possible that all the placebo patients are miraculously having big improvements in symptoms, but it's a lot more logical and likely it's the drug! ;)

Yeah. Imo they're clearly working the remainder of whatever Acacia have left to sell into the volume. You'll know when they're done as the brakes will suddenly come off (hence my suggestion of 37 or 38p being the first sign for more rises to come).
It's like lifting the back wheels off a pedalling bike at the moment. All the forward momentum of the pedalling (buying) is going nowhere, but once they put it back down (finished working the Acacia lump), it can speed off forwards.

I'd go with IG instead. They're not perfect but 99% of the time when people say they can't buy I can. Same goes for the trading platforms of the major banks/building societies (rubbish too generally).

Virtually every sizeable holder probably took that opportunity (I know I did).
PI hype is what to sell into in an illiquid share.
It's of no surprise this came back down a bit whilst the trials were ongoing (and precisely why I've hardly commented on this board in the past 3 months, bar the odd day).
Back down at this price the risk/reward starts to become interesting again (enough for me to invest again - and I know I'm not the only one).

Selling at a loss isn't a good advice but if think the company should have done better somehow or is run badly then it's not a good idea to stay invested.
Personally I think the actual problem is you don't really understand the company, or the market, that you've invested in, and are therefore quick to criticise the company when they've done nothing wrong!
