good steady rise - now with volume picking up. People are seeing value here. Read the posts below for full story.
the rise commences - steady rise on low volumes to 17.25/18.5 (actual spread 17.8/18.4). I see us getting on towards the 27p target next week. Good Press on the trading update and a bullish house broker will see this break 20p very soon.
"exceptional" is how FinnCap describe the trading update. See http://www.reuters.com/article/rbssHealthcareNews/idUSBNG51616520090819
looking good for rise tomorrow once all have digested the trading update. See also http://proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/7449/lidco-group-sees-first-half-and-full-year-sales-higher-yr-on-yr--7449.html
revenues significantly higher, maiden profit, strengthened balance sheet - all sounds good to me. Can someone post the link for the actual FinnCap analysis saying why it is positive with a 27p target? That's a rise of over 50% from todays sp - very nice indeed if that comes quickly. It did with VOG when a broker gave that a 7p target and it hit it within a few days - a 75% rise.
i've bought in here and pleased to see the rise - looking good. it will however need to be a good rise otherwise i may get heartily sick of the majors posts.
that is indeed the question. i have seen talk of 40 to 45p as being the management's view on take-out value but i've also seen 30p mentioned. if no bid materialises then this could be back to low 20p's. wish i could be of more help! if you like the profit you are sat on now then sell and don't look back. i sold at 26.75p so what do i know!
just got in - what a great surprise. LP 7/7.75. any further upward movement you reckon?
LP bid/offer 6/7. Be interesting to see what it closes at.
a £10k buy is not massive but i guess he wouldn't have done even that if he didn't think it was worth doing. And the share price drops in response! great. I'm beginning to think my money could be doing better things elsewhere.
the takeover is coming. Live price 26.5/27 and it has been higher. I expect a bid at 30p and the management will hold out for more
"Minster remains my share pick of the decade and I am expecting the sp to triple by September and hit £1 by the end of the year on its way to a FTSE 100 entrance early in 2010 and a takeover by AstraZeneca at £17.43 per share on 18.04.10." How's that for a suggested draft of the article?
Wow - a bid at 40 to 45p would be very nice indeed thank you. Probably unlikley at that level but let's see what the news is tomorrow - I agree that it must be good or the Directors would have had no justification to say that 25p significantly undervalues the company. The sp at the moment is tied in to the 25p offer as there is no hard evidence to justify valuing the company beyond that level - this may well change on the announcement tomorrow. What's Morse code for fun, fun, fun.
Bids plural???? I have bought in to this even after the bid announcement and the resultant shoot up in the SP as I am confident that the trading statement tomorrow will be VERY good. The RNS mentions "approaches" so there is more than one interested bidder out there which could spark a bidding war and an even higher take out price - one which the Board will recommend as properly valuing the company. This should be fun over the next few days and weeks. Hold tight.
well spotted. positive news indeed. do we have any info on the value of the commercial application of the drug for migraine with aura? and how long will it take to get the drug to market? i guess there will be a lot of approval processes still to go though? hopefully the sp will start to move forward now there is clearly a business and a future here.
This is positive news. Confirmed still have cash for another two years and Kumar would not have joined the company if he didn't think he can find market applications for the two drugs. Early publication of a positive peer review re migraine with aura will send the sp soaring. Time to fasten seat belts.
Bid coming or good news on finding something to do with Tonabersat? Either or both will do! What results did you mean next week?
Good news ahead perhaps? Let's hope so. We might see this tick up in anticipation of some startlingly good news next week. Or am I dreaming again?
I agree with you entirely - the RI to buy Brixton is coming very soon but I'm glad I got out of SGRO at 26.5. Looking at other RI's recently, there are very few that make the rights worth having. Almost becoming better to buy in the market on the day that the new shares can be traded. If however they get a really good deal on Brixton then the RI may be favourably received but there is no really good news in commercial property at the moment to sustain an even bigger commercial property company. I'll buy in again at a diluted 15p but I really have no idea where this will go!!
Nice move up today and should bode well. I'd also be happy to take a lot more than 7p but would like to see that level reached again soon just to put a floor under the SP. I remain convinced there is a possible bidder out there who would not have to spend much to take MPM out. But who and when...?
