Good news ahead perhaps? Let's hope so. We might see this tick up in anticipation of some startlingly good news next week. Or am I dreaming again?

I agree with you entirely - the RI to buy Brixton is coming very soon but I'm glad I got out of SGRO at 26.5. Looking at other RI's recently, there are very few that make the rights worth having. Almost becoming better to buy in the market on the day that the new shares can be traded. If however they get a really good deal on Brixton then the RI may be favourably received but there is no really good news in commercial property at the moment to sustain an even bigger commercial property company. I'll buy in again at a diluted 15p but I really have no idea where this will go!!

Nice move up today and should bode well. I'd also be happy to take a lot more than 7p but would like to see that level reached again soon just to put a floor under the SP. I remain convinced there is a possible bidder out there who would not have to spend much to take MPM out. But who and when...?

Keeping our heads down while the FTSE drops. To be a non-mover is actually a very positive thing! I could do with us getting back to the 7p level sometime soon. Fingers crossed for an early bid from someone, anyone.

Nice to be here. So, what happens next? Do we get another rise tomorrow off the back of positive Press reports or is this it for now? What if the capital raising isn't successful? More questions than answers - so what's new! Wish I had also got into BoI but I'm not complaining too much. Onwards and upwards (although we may have seen the best of the rise for now?)

Hi Kitch. Thanks for the ongoing stream of consciousness. I've gone back in for a few more shares - I like the news today that there is another potential predator with cash out there who may just fancy a shot at MPM. With a market cap equivalent to roughly half their cash pile, surely the only way is up??!!

No idea why but yippee! No announcements and Inchcape barely moving. Must be something going on - the share volume is immense.

Not all good news - their cash has halved, their loss has deepened and their wonder drug is not all it could have been. If they keep burning cash at the same rate then they'll be out of money by the end of this financial year. The new management will have to pull a rabbit out to get the share price moving north. I still think they will do it but the picture is not as rosy as it once was.

WOW! Can anyone verify that the buys today are currently 16.2 million vs. sells at 1.7 million? That would indicate some serious interest here and the share price is up in a generally falling market. Something happening I wonder??

Long way to go yet and no certainty that anyone will table a formal offer for BXTN. At present SGRO are saying they are thinking about a bid funded just with SGRO shares so yes anyone currently holding BXTN shares would end up holding SGRO shares as BXTN will be subsumed within SGRO. However SGRO have said that they reserve the right to structure the deal differently so there may a mix of shares plus cash but in the current climate SGRO will be very keen to keep hold of its cash. BXTN say there are other interested parties out there so other bids may be forthcoming on different structures. No guarantee of a bid proceeding so BXTN remains perilously close to doom. If all bidders go away then I fear BXTN may go bust in the absence of being able to make further asset disposals or launch a rights issue (which I think they would struggle to get underwritten). So BXTN remains high risk while SGRO remains well set to profit from any consolidation in the REIT sector and may itself become a target for a bid although it would be a big beast to swallow.

Ha! What do I know. SGRO are a potential bidder for BXTN. Good for BXTN share price in short term but better for SGRO long term as they will only buy BXTN for a fraction of its true worth as BXTN HAVE to sell or will bust their covenants. Fire sale or what. This situation should get this chat page a little busier. I'm buying more SGRO. DYOR.

UP UP UP and away SGRO. About time the weight of sustained buying over the past couple of weeks is starting to show in the share price. Forget BXTN, these are destined for far better performance. DYOR.

You are a one man discussion board all by yourself, nobody else needs to take part! And I don't understand a word you are saying but I get the gist that you love the share, as do I - any company holding £7m in cash and worth on that basis 12p per share and which you can currently buy for 8p strikes me as a bit of a bargain. Keep it up!

Just a thought but as I have said before - be careful with Brixton, there is a real risk they will be one of the casualties of this downturn as they have not yet properly secured their debt. If the share price moves forward in the absence of any good reason then I suspect the MM's will be preparing for a heavily discounted rights issue (see St Modwen for evidence). That leave the shares languishing for a while which is when investors attention should switch to SEGRO which is due a major upward correction having secured its debt and covenants for a good period. If you like the look of Brixton then I would suggest a look at SGRO also - they have better and more varied assets and have a possibly stronger financial position by virtue of their successful recent rights issue whereas BXTN are still exposed on their debt. DYOR and remember that real estate shares are at the mercy of further commercial property value declines and tenant failures.
