Hopefully Biden's much touted infrastructure bill which is being at least partially announced tomorrow will contain something of interest to us.

It would be good to think it's all part of a strategy rather than random moves. Trying to interpret what a CEO is doing is a bit like trying to play chess in the dark... hopefully some light will be shed soon.

Morning all, I'm fairly new to AZN and have a small stake. I'm looking at the Ichi and the 200 day moving average and they 'suggest' that the price may be on the way up. Anyone else have any thoughts? I'm thinking of adding to my stake and after being in decline since August last year I don't think it can go much lower! Or, would it be best to see what happens with the Alexion deal? This does seem to be dragging down the price (?) as the vaccine controversy seems to have little affect. In fact from what I can see the sp moves inversely to the current level of controversy some times!

Appreciate all and any thoughts from more experienced investors in this stock. Thank you.

Any ideas as to why sp is down so much today? I can't find any news.

Unfortunately they mention 'American-made'... maybe Larry can convince them of US involvement... get a strategic partner in the US who builds them over there. You never know!

Sod's law: you get a really good RNS and someone sells a huge chunk. Typical really!

Very timely news given the quietness we've endured over the last few months. It's a common shareholders gripe that we don't know what's going on but trusting the leaders of the company we've invested in and the products they're making is the key. Although it can be easier to say rather than do!

Hold fast.

For those of you with a social media interest then there are some things we could do to help IES. They do have a twitter page but perhaps don't use it as well as they could in my opinion. Also Larry Z has a page and so do most of the projects that they are currently working on. So does Vanitec, Bushveld and Chloe Lianos who is the energy storage innovation lead for the department for business, energy etc. If you have the time to follow and retweet their words then the extra publicity can only help.

Any thoughts anyone? Is it going down simply because there is no news?? I've seen and heard nothing. We can hope that it's temporary and someone knows something we don't and it'll rebound tomorrow... but in the absence of evidence to the contrary it's depressing to watch!

We're going to have to watch this space. IES definitely have a head start over energy storage - it's just a question of getting manufacturing scalled up!

Yesterday's Sunday Times mentioned that the upcoming budget will include a savings bond investing £70 million in "long term low carbon energy storage"...

Sounds promising? I know £70 mill isn't much in government spending terms but at least it's a start! We'll have to wait until Wednesday for more but this kind of leaked detail tends to be accurate in my experience.
