That's fantastic for stakeholders like bond holders and banks. If he does a great job then they will certainly benefit. Now tell me some useful - like how the CFO is going to look after the shareholders.

That question shows a lack of understanding of the situation. It seems that most people here, including myself, also acknowledge that there is potential. I'm not sure that's up for debate. The issue for us all is that the 'abyss' (dilution) could suddenly open up and swallow shareholders and we have no idea if we're close to that, or how likely it is that the BoD could, or even want, to avoid that. So we could be right on the edge right now and have no idea, or we could be way off, or - with a superb debt refinancing - the abyss might be never be encountered. Unless you're 'inside' no-one has the foggiest right now.

Ok, but to Slift's point - does the evidence show that the production rate cuts have stablised? I don't believe so but please shout if I missed relevant data. In other words, if the next update shows the same water cut, but a lower rate of production again - that isn't what I'd call a stabilised water cut. In that scenario the water cut isn't increasing but is being managed by continually cutting production. That is not a stable situation. Thoughts?

What's the Alba 'lot' value? I.e. the amount of shares they have to sell to you at their quoted price.

The spread figures shown on lse are never the best available. I always better them with iweb, every time. Earlier when the ask was 0.44 I was getting a buy quote for 0.424p.

Hmm, maybe. I see it as a side show for Alba now. It's ironic that when I bought into Alba years ago I saw it as riskier than UKOG. Hahaha. joke's on me. Now Alba is looking at a great future with it's non-oil assets.

Neither, it ignores the fact that the value is determined by much more than the oil price.

I'm a LTH at 15p average so I really wish I was wrong, or even just a bit off the mark. I suppose, because I want the share price to increase, I shouldn't be posting on the reality of things. But there's something in me that gets annoyed when I see posters (not referring to CDF1 here, but all over this board) who seemingly have no sense of decency, no idea what personal values are, misleading others just so they can make a quick buck. Of course, we all make our own investing decisions but their BS does us no favours.

It does make sense. If you don't understand the sense behind it then you don't understand the issues behind this company. I don't fully understand them either but I do know that until the fundamental issues with HUR are addressed then there will be no sustained / permanent share price recovery. You may be able to make 10-20-30pc here and there but those talking about bags and 6p+ are talking out of their 'arris. They are shysters. Ignore them.

The share price fall isn't the joke. The share price fall is entirely explainable. Your anger should be at two things - operational results from the 'ground' and the actions of current and ex-BoD members.

Unfortunately, sayingthat as a LTH with a high average - he's spot on. All of you saying 6p+ today have no idea what you're talking about.

Because the RNS, although being positive, contained no new news of any significance. We knew, or could make a reasonable guess, about everything in it. There's nothing new in there that majorly mitigates the fundamental challenges (indeed the potential terminal risks) to HUR.

Ok, talk me out of my position. Bit of context - I bought at 45p, 15p, and 5p ish so I already have too much skin in this game. Buying at the bottom is a great AIM strategy for many stocks - there is large potential upside here too, but here there seems to be one massive downside - the risk of being massively diluted. And that risk feels quite real at the moment. I'm not sure that I can trust the BoD to avoid it. Thoughts?

Well maybe so, but BoDs don't always care about dilution and will screw the shareholder. So none of us should assume that they'd take a particular action to avoid it.
