It's a great saying, but for it to be of any value you actually have to learn something that you don't intend to repeat. The likelyhood of that happening is very low IMHO.

Why waste your time? Unless the investigation gets lucky due to carelessness on the part of the leaker, I would rate the chances of finding those involved as zero to none. And, if by a miracle someone is found to be at fault, the chances of anything significant happening to them are minimal. Furthermore, the chances of the company getting much in the way of a benefit from someone being found and action being taken against them are tiny. The benefit to us (i.e. impact on the share price) will be zero. So, tell me, why are you bothered about it?

Hi Taverham, I read the RNS but it's very high level and doesn't include any detail on funding. The principles outlined sound good to me, but it almost feels too good! :-) Hence my questions, as it's highly likely I'm missing something. The oil price is interesting but doesn't fully explain it for me. I have trust in the management so will hold my investment and await more results.

Well maybe we can, but my experience with other oilers usually involves many millions of dollars in cash needed for drills. Admittedly, some of those were in inhospitable Alaska where drilling is expensive to fund. But the figure I had in my head for more drills is much higher than the £2m or so we're getting a year - even with oil price increases to come. Don't get me wrong, if we can do both that'd be great - so I'm hoping someone can elaborate on our drill strategy and how returning capital won't affect that, and won't require us to dilute further or take on debt.

Nice RNS this morning but I am a little confused. We have one producing well, which looks like it'll produce lots more, but I was expecting all this lovely oil dosh to be used to invest in more wells/assets etc. I.e. to build the company and move away from having a single well that we rely on for income. It feels a little early to be giving money back, especially as drills can cost rather a lot. Your thoughts please?

But note as soon as they announce the divi, the share price will instantly shoot up to very close or past the price (more likely), so there'll be no oppportunity to get in for dividend if you are aren't in already.

They said - and let's be clear - "AS WE successfully conclude". In plain English that really only has one interpretation, which is that the process is still ongoing, the BoD is aiming to successfully complete the process, but it has not yet concluded.

IMHO I believe it must be close though.

It's like me saying, "2022 will be a great year and there's loads to come as I successfully purchase a new house". Well no-one aims to fail a purchase (or fail to conclude an initial strategy) but it's flowery language for "I think I'm going to do this".

I don't understand why anyone would be shorting. There is a lot of evidence that the only way for the share price is up - and enough evidence to suggest a massive increase very shortly.

Well I can tell you one thing. If you see a broker rating from the house broker (i.e. the broker for that stock) you should treat it with caution. Not saying it'll certainly be wrong, but house brokers don't work for the punter.

This video is impressive, but not just because of the content, but because it's not usually easy to get a large corporate to agree to give a reference, let alone appear on video. So the fact they've got B&O to do that is very impressive. It's a very useful thing to have in the pitch armoury. Admittedly, the usefulness will vary by industry. E.g. FS firms want ideally will an FS industry reference, but still B&O is well known.
