Has our fearless comrade gone FOMO??

I don’t see paying more than the market price as dilution for those new shares. Paying 25p for 22.5p shares is bringing in free cash. The size is also interesting as that suggests no desperation. I’ve enjoyed this summer and was hoping it would last, but we do need to get to the end some time before xmas!

I will be very surprised if you are still here when it goes back to 6p as you were not around when it was 6p with an rns that had telegraphed that excellent results were anticipated.

Why would this drop back to 6p when shareholders should this year effectively earn that by simply holding and getting their share of the annual earnings?

What happened to the proposed divi payments? They were mentioned when the 2 long term directors were considering retirement. Understand that we are investing in expansion when the unique Ukraine situation is looking to boost all grain suppliers this year. We should soon also have substantial oil producing crop as an alternate to Ukrainian sunflower oil.

It would be criminal not to get those great farms in Zimbabwe working again to feed the world while the Ukraine crisis is on. These guys could be the perfect vehicle to make it happen

The MMs ran out of stock a few weeks ago when I bought on the news that they were going to announce excellent results. It is slow to rise here but it does eventually. Patience is needed on this stock. Agree it should eventually go big. As zambeef is a relative big player on illiquid zambian market, you can also take the whole market up/down with not many share buys/sells.

Maybe the Russians are doing us a favour??

My feeling is that we need the revenue to have doubled so that it no longer just looks like annual ups/downs going sideways. Quite happy to buy when it is low and we get massive hints of good numbers like just now. However I always seem to hold rather than sell as I always hoping to see a good long run upwards.

I always thought 49p was possible anytime except when they got stuck in the chicken poo! I came in at 10p years ago when all the directirs bought in. Still averaging about 10p but enjoying counting up my share of the earnings every 6 months even though it never gets distributed and then disappears in the stagnant sp.

This share is such a slow burner that any amateur can take the good news, wait a few days to think, and still catch any rise. Hell, we were given many weeks notice that the announcement of half year results would be fantastic.

Just ran my little calculator over the results. 2.8 cents after tax & everything, for 6 months on shares valued less than 7p yesterday. Bit pessimistic not going for the EBITDA figure. I'm not sure they can feed that sort of PE ratio into the big firms databases.

No wonder they have cash galore to invest in growth.

The bit I am not clear about is the first planting being winter 2023 which could potentially be in just over 6 months time or 12 months later.

Isn't Ireland the preferred corporate HQ (rather than Luxembourg) if most of your income is from patents?

However, I wouldn't be getting too excited if you catch the board drinking Guinness as that is largely canned in Runcorn....

I've just done a regular search for news as it is very quiet here! CDC have changed their name to British International Investment which should avoid confusion with the similar named Zambian development company.

Most interesting was the reported buy-in by the Rudland family from Zimbabwe. The CDC investment in Zambeef always looked to me like a vehicle to springboard into Zimbabwe at the right time. Does anyone have any other hints of development that way??

A nice steady climb should now be possible, maybe along with a nominal small dividend maybe?

Update as expected. Good news that they have all permissions for the treatment room to use radiation. Would have been dumb to clear all the really tricky technical issues to then be delayed by bureaucracy. The Environment agency can be slow.

My concern is the language used may be open to interpretation. I believe they are talking tech when saying ‘delivering’ the first system rather than the normal business use of ‘delivering’ the first product to the first customer (Harley Street). It would be great to see loads of removal trucks beavering away in the New Year and the equipment going into London - not going to happen is it? A few more stages to go yet with end of Q1 probably at best being the regulatory sign-off. First patients, transfer to London, London commissioning etc probably well into 2022 if we are lucky. Or does Birmingham sneak in first continuing to use the Daresbury site? London then gets the first of the production run??

Not a business until product sold/leased and finally seeing revenue. Would expect a money raise when they do get regulatory approval??

Spotted that AVO has applied for an environmental permit for nuclear stuff. I’m going through a similar process with the environment agency, and, although mine looks like a quick no-brainer, they have already taken 3 months and are looking like taking a few more. Let’s hope the EA in Warrington are more zippy on nuclear stuff.

Was getting very excited when I read that we have earnings of 55 ZMW per share. Converting to GBP that was £2.20 per 7.5p share. Obviously wrong, so compared to the 34 ZMW loss for last year which was actually 34 Ngwee or hundredths of a kwacha.

Still not bad to have earnings of third of share price. This reminded me why I originally bought in - the company could be bought from the cash over the counter in just one month.

Spotted that CDC were top of the list of UK/Zambia agreement this week and Zimbabwe were snubbed again. Think this could take off if CDC backed a Zimbeef lead revival across the border….

Not sure that China wants a healthy democracy so my guess is that the west will need to bail them out. UK one obvious interested party but also Euro loans makes the EU relevant. US may see an opportunity to push China back. IMF in a few months hopefully followed by a slap up beef feast??

I think the answer to the buy/sell mystery is revealed lower down the rns. M&G took a controlling stake in Prudential which was the “buy” so maybe the sell off was an early offload to avoid becoming overweight
