I think we need be clear about what can and cannot be extended, as there are a number of agreements to which the Consortium, through Abingdon, is party.

As I understand it:

- the initial development agreement with the exclusivity provision is separate from the framework supply agreement for the LFTs (although the development agreement terms are reflected in the supply framework agreement).
- the development agreement isn't automatically extendable.
- the framework supply agreement is extendable but the decision around the extension is for DHSC.

You are correct.

I don't believe that there is an automatic right to extend the current agreement with HMG but, as as I said yesterday, I wouldn't be overly surprised is part of the reason for the lack of news is that there are negotiations going on around an extended/new agreement. The key with that will be getting the most favourable terms for ODX et al.

The tests are referred to on other files which have been updated more recently, and which would suggest that moves towards roll out is continuing/picking up pace.

I do also think that some people (particularly on Twitter) are over-egging this - particularly as the changes primarily being referred to are 4-5 months old. They're concentrating on the wrong thing...

From a public authority perspective, it's the assumption that coding developed using public funds belongs to the public - and should be published unless there are specific reasons not to. It also enables developers to review it and pick up issues, as well as modify/adapt it for new purposes.

There's been changes since then but I think it has been to remove reference to specific tests and make the instructions generic.

The general point seems to be a gearing up towards roll-out - which will be good news for ODX, irrespective of whether or not the AbC19 test is mentioned specifically.

You've got to be very careful with what Avacta say, as their public announcements are very vaguely worded and tend be interpreted somewhat generously by investors.

They are part of a government funded programme - but that doesn't mean that actually have a test.

Testing and vaccination will get us back to a semblance of normal life - but that doesn't mean that the tests will be Avacta's. They are still significantly behind the pack process-wise - including behind some people who started after them.

I have a holding in Avacta but I see ODX as the more robust investment, in part because Colin doesn't over-promise.

Avacta would actually have to have a test for that to happen. As far as I am aware, they're not yet even at design freeze.
