I think if you're able to take early retirement together then that's preferable. When I retired, my other was still working, which made it harder to do things like take long trips as we still had to work around his leave. If he takes early retirement in 2028 then I'll retire as well - I might keep a few NED posts on to keep my hand in though.

Early retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be. I took early retirement in my mid-40s and lasted 10 months before I went back to work, as I was soooooo bored.

I'm going to carry on working until my other half is able to take early retirement in 7 years time, at which time I'll give retirement another go.

I'm surprised. There's no clinical contraindications to vaccinating someone with existing antibodies. Sounds to me as if it might be a dose preserving measure.

No further approval is required for professional POC use - but the scope of that is relatively limited in the UK at the moment (plenty of scope for overseas sales though).

The big market will be 'home use' (which is term being used by MHRA/DHSC) and that does require further approval, which I have no doubt will be forthcoming. That is what the DHSC contract with ODX is focused on.

Interesting that there doesn't appear to be a link to the actual statement issued by the British High Commission/Dept for International Trade office on any the usual websites where you'd expect. A few tweets referencing it but no actual statement ...

I deal with NHS procurement and contracts every day. I can tell you now, RMS haven't got a hope of selling masks in bulk to the NHS. The Pro-Larva is a Type IIR mask - the NHS has multiple suppliers of those at a fraction of the cost.

If they're lucky and can convince NHS Supply Chain they can deliver (which they don't have a great record of doing to date) then they might be able to sell some of the antiviral layer material to someone like QE Facilities - but only if they're able to demonstrate that the a-Virion layer is better than the one currently being used in the manufacture of FFP3s.
